I can’t do it. Literally can’t. I tried playing it that way. It’s fucking atrocious. My brain hates it.
Restarted hardcore second run with Leon. I don’t know if you guys know this but the east hallway where you have the four windows... if you decide to board them up, you only need to do the center two. The far windows never get zombies.

I forgot but is the east hallway the one where the Licker was introduced in the original, or is that the other side where the guy gets sliced in half under the shutter early on?
Even though it's not that deep, I quite like the mechanic of boarding windows shut in this one - just makes you feel a bit more safe and out of danger for a while like a true survival horror game should.
I remember the original having the shutters where you needed to use some cables to get them working but they didn't last very long if I remember correctly? I'll never forget being in the library and hearing *crash* and the fuckers started crawling through the damn windows. Made my skin crawl.
The shutter hallway. The window mechanic is great. The way they talked about it prior to release made it seem like they were only temporary blockades. Thank god they aren’t.
I just beat my record for second run. I’m not going for S+ but I just missed it by nine minutes.
It looks like Capcom has been looking for game testers for a new RE, I assume it's RE8
I'm sure it will be a sequel to that piece of fucking shit RE7. There's some many "bad" games in the series and I'll gladly play any before going back to that dreck. Such as Zero which is loaded with problems but it's still 10,000 times the RE.

I’d rather play Code Veronica and Zero and any of the other games people think are shitty, than play RE7. I will never own it. Watching a playthrough was all I needed.

The game franchise needs a storyline reboot, ignore some of those current storylines. At this point give 3 and a remake of code Veronica. Or an extended version on RE2make. Capcom really needs to intrigue me with RE8. Characters, enemies, set designs etc....

Instead of this mud people approach, and the severe lack of interesting characters, maybe they could... you know, bring the T-Virus back. Except, this time make it so that the player has to actually manage the infection in their body and in a few others.
This would be in a time where the antivirus is on hand in a bunch of different facilities. So, it would be a plausible game mechanic. Don’t make it the main focus though, but enough that you would have to address it during gameplay.
And Umbrella had so many experiments going on, the writers could even revive Wesker as a younger version of himself or as a female twin. The new Wesker would be just as maniacal and would try and unleash the original legacy upon the earth once more.

It makes me miss Spanish Chris from RE6.
It's a disgrace we didn't get any real DLC for REmake 2. I would of liked a fixed camera option and it just switches to over the shoulder for aiming. It wouldn't even need to be tank controls give REmake had that option and it more or less worked but made dodging so incredibly easy since the character models weren't designed to do that and didn't have an animation for shifting body weight so all the changes in trajectory were instant.

I’ll give this game a B, it was fun but taking forever which I can understand why the graphics etc the storyline felt rushed and was a copy of both Claire and Leon besides Sherry’s and Ada side quest and Leon fighting Tyrant while Claire was G. The original is better with the scenario parts but hopefully RE3make is better!
