Multi Platform Future of Video Gaming

Next Gen is going to be the most depressing for me since ALL my favorite franchise ended this gen. Batman concluded with Arkham Knight, Uncharted ended on such a high note and Metal Gear bookended like a crab twitching on hot sand. Dammit I've got nothing to look forward to!

TLOU2 will be cross platform, but I honestly couldn't give a shit about that game. They waited way too long for a follow up and it doesn't even look remotely interesting.

What bums me out is that there isn't a SINGLE port of RE that's as good as the Gamecube original. I decided a couple of years ago to final stopped buying RE4 ports because of that. Here's why:

PS2: Inferior graphics in every way.
Wii: Cropped image makes the game look blurrier.
PC (2007): Looks worse than the PS2 version.
360/PS3: The closest to the GC, but has horrible slowdown. No Dobly Pro Logic II support.
PC: Best version so far, doubly so with texture mods.
PS4/XB1: Looks ugly as sin, no image treatment, reworked textures look worse.

So yeah, unless the upcoming Switch version manages to at least be identical to the GC, I'm done buying every version of RE4 like the gullible idiot that I am.

It's getting torn to shreds in YT videos. Bugs out the ass, shitty cutscene editing and another dull sandbox. Been in development for years, piped up ad nauseam every gaming con for it to be just another generic next gen piece of shit.
