Don’t get me wrong, omega strain was fun, if technically flawed in design. They are a subpar team that has not evolved as well as we’d hoped.

It's getting torn to shreds in YT videos. Bugs out the ass, shitty cutscene editing and another dull sandbox. Been in development for years, piped up ad nauseam every gaming con for it to be just another generic next gen piece of shit.

I'm actually enjoying it a lot more now and it has picked up quite a bit. The first 8 or so hours are rough as fuck, like bordering on a 5 or 6 out of 10. Then it jumps to a 7 to a 7.5 at its best, but it takes a bit too long for the story to get going. The best parts are taking on the massive hordes out in the wild with explosive traps and napalm bombs.

It's still rough with clunky ass shooting and has some boring walk-and-talk-with-a-character moments that can't be skipped. It's a little too similar to other open world sandbox games out there like far cry. Though I do have a thing for taking out enemy camps in open world games.

They really needed to collaborate with another team. Their games haven’t really been the best.

Days gone didn’t really interest me, I mean the idea is good but everything I saw leading up to the game and then after it’s release made it easy for me to just get last of us remastered and replay that game. I feel like if the best part of days gone is how cool it is to fight the horde I may as well just get world war z which I heard is pretty fun

I haven't played a game since the Resident Evil 2 remake scarred me with it's half-assed attempt of being an actual remake. I regretted spending $70 on that garbage.

Resident Evil 2 was great, albeit a bit rocky.

And World War Z was my choice. So glad I didn’t get Days Gone.

I think you can play offline, but I’ve yet to do it. I played online with friends who have been waiting on Left 4 Dead 3. This is pretty much that, except with a Division kind of feel? Sort of.

You really hated it?

I do concede that there's plenty of issues with it. B scenario was tacked on after production ended. Removal of the marshaling yard was a mistake. Having a giant section of the road behind the RPD is fucking retarded. The location of the lab in the city is pretty vague. It's under that giant silo thing with the G2 fight... but it's not explained what the hell that is as far as I know. In the original, it's not clear either since the cable car's travel distance is only a guess and the marshalling yard location is somewhere on the outskirts of the city, but there's some good guesses on where it's at since the lab had multiple routes to get there. One was the sewer from Raccoon hospital (the files from Outbreak shed light on it)

The lab doesn't have enough zombies and the lab is too high tech. Especially the futuristic nuclear reactors that glow blue. It's not explained if there was two Mr. Xs since the one cut in half is 100% dead. The Tyrants can sustain unlimited amounts of regular firearm damage, but it's body ripped in half makes it impossible to regenerate. Although, Nemesis grew a new head, but he was a different T strain and had the parasite.

It doesn't fully replace the original like REmake did with the original, but I think it was a much better remake than I expected we'd get.

I hope RE3 is even better than we expect it to be. That would be one for the books.

Oh boy now I really won't shut up!

Scenario A was brilliant, probably the most fun I had in a RE game in years. I played as Leon, and the game ended with a "to be continued" message. I beat the game and turned off my PS4 at 3.00 in the morning because I was savoring for this grand, mind blowing second scenario B. I couldn't sleep after beating the game as my mind was filled with possible set pieces for Claire that would surely blow my socks off like the A game did. How would they redo the puzzles? How did Claire got to the station? How did she caught up with Leon in the lab? might I have missed Sherry sneaking around while playing as Leon!

I booted up the Second Scenario the next day and something immediately felt off. The first cutscene felt like a trailer, and aren't I supposed to be at the gas station? Now I'm at the graveyard- not what I was expecting but okay, lets do this! Let's explore a brand new sect.. wait what? I'm already meeting Leon at the gate??

And you know the rest. Aside from seeing an already zombified Marvin and the end Birkin fight, everything was recycled from the A game, even the bosses and main chunks of the story. I was furious because the game promised something else with the end credits. If Scenario B was an optional mode it wouldn't be a big deal, but they advertised it as an integral part of the experience. It brought back memories of how pissed I was learning I was some pussy in MGS2 instead of Solid Snake but unlike that game, this ran out of surprises real quick.

It's wishful thinking, but I really wished Capcom would patch out that "to be continued" banner out of the main game and have the last Birkin fight inserted in the A game instead. As it stands, it feels like artificial padding and ends up with NONE of the 4 scenarios existing in harmony with each other and one unsatisfying "A" game.

I guess it was because the zapping system in the original worked so well and you'd think 20 years on they would have figured out how to iron out the inconsistencies (like brand new puzzles) but they did the exact opposite.

Yeah I forgot to mention how I hate how B doesn't even allow you to run to the station... you're just zapped there. It also doesn't make any sense for you to get there far after the A side given that side of the fire was closer to the station. I wish it could be overhauled to make it more cohesive... but it would never happen. Also the same exact boss fights is incredibly lazy.

To answer your Mr X question:

Some fans theorize that there are multiple Mr. Xs chasing you in the story of RE2, because there are multiple deaths across Leon's and Claire's paths. Do you want to address that theory, and tell us how many Mr. Xs we're really encountering?

There’s only one Tyrant. When designing the game, we wanted whichever scenario the player is currently in to be representative of the main story arc. You could say that each scenario could be considered a parallel world, which is why you see Tyrant appear multiple times.

Basically, each scenario is a Marvel Multiverse hence why they don't add up. Or they were lazy. If they just removed the "to be continued" line I would 100% forgive it.
