RE stopped using subtly long ago. That's a Japanese trademark. Team Silent taught a masterclass in that.

Yep. Look at Lost Planet. That franchise had one of the brightest futures I’ve seen from Capcom since Resident Evil and maybe Monster Hunter. What happened to it? They westernized it and it went to absolute shit. That first game is fucking incredible.

They also effectively killed Dead Rising. The first game was really good. The second had its moments and the rest of it was just kinda meh, after the fact.
