Arrange mode is nice since you're more conscious of taking hits. Something like 4-5 hits from Hunters killed me with Carlos. '
3make's final fight is awful and so contrived. At least RE3 OG had a very clunky railcannon that felt realistic within the game's universe, and not some Doom shit where you can just pick up a 2,000 pound cannon with a 120lb girl. And it doesn't make sense that they just happen to have such a thing in NEST and it happens to follow you in there. Where as the military brought that to the Dead Factory as a base camp and them and the Tyrants killed each other. It doesn't get talked about but it's interesting regular soldiers killed not one but 5 Mr Xs.
RE3 OG is short enough that speedrunners can reset at almost the end of a run and it's not even much time to get back to it again. The current WR is something around the low 40 minutes.
Zero's quality is probably better than REmake's, but the problem is everything else beyond it's visuals. The art direction is there and the game is long enough. But it's a mess everywhere else. I also hate they changed Rebecca's eyes in the remaster. You can mod that out I believe.
For the monsters in Zero, I don't know why they didn't just use stuff from RE2 unused stuff. The Archives book has a bunch of stuff they could of included that would of given it's stable of monsters some identity to make them interesting. Although to be fair, I believe one of the monsters in 1.5 designs was "Tyrant Inferior." That wasn't a Tyrant fully, but would probably rival Hunters.
The Tyrant Inferior (タイラント劣性, Tairanto ressei?) is a creature that was planned to appear in one of the early Resident Evil titles but was scrapped. The creature is a Zombie which has undergone a mutation. They are uncommon but appear across Raccoon City, and are capable of running. Sumner...

CV has all the elements to be one of the very best, but it's executed so poorly. It's like a really good bad RE game. It's got more going for it over Zero, but I think I'd play Zero over it honestly.
I do like that REmake added even more depth to each scenario given one is designed to be harder than the other, so they give Chris a instakill for a defensive item.
The dogs in RE2 are definitely just infected K9 units in the RPD basement. One thing that bothers me in both RE1 and REmake, is you never actually see where any of these things were stored. I always appreciated the fact that there's never doors that you just cannot go into and you can explore the whole game world, but you never find stuff like that. I assume it's somewhere in the lab. But then I would think, how would they even reach the surface when it's sealed by the fountain? But then, Wesker has all the keys already since Chris/Jill is in the jail cell at the end so right from the main hall, he took whoever down there.
The leeches are only in Zero. I didn't understand why they weren't given if you wanted something that could spread an infection quickly an easily, why not just make more leeches? You can't shoot the rain as there's so many of them and they're so fast.
Marcus is terribly done, and then you find out it's not even him. It's the Queen. That's somehow talking? That has human level intelligence? I guess because the queen when in his head or something? I don't mind the idea of this on paper, but they did it so poorly and hammy. The queen boss fight 1 isn't bad, but the second is just a redux of type 3 Nemesis.
