Someone please teach these cgi designers how to hold a pistol 😂 Leon is the only one that is doing it right that doesn’t look ridiculous
Rebecca is doing cup and saucer and they’re all doing a weaver stance which no one uses anymore. Although Chris has the best stance, but he’s holding it like shit.

Chris is butt ugly.

Just don’t know how he went from being one of the coolest characters to an absolute joke.

For real, it's to the point of where I love his Code Veronica characterization so much that if a CVmake would ruin it, it would would ruin the remake for me. I can't tell what made Capcom decide to take out his charm and make him borderline generic. Feels like OG Leon is going down the same path too.

Dunno how we pulled this out. We held out the Siege portion and both ended up getting downed, but Yoko had a heal on them and was able to get back up and grab me. I grabbed a full heal that was on the ground and was able to kill the necessary amount left of the 50 zombies to end the game.

CV he was just Keanu Reeves with blue eyes. But that's fine. REmake while having a different face, still felt like it had the same ingredients with his body type and hair. Instead of that ultra spikey hair thing that's in the RE1 intro FMV and artwork for that game, they made it more realistic and not Anime like.

RE5 looked a little bit like REmake but made him look more rugged and not baby faced anymore since he's in his mid 30s. RE6 is when they started making him look like a different guy. He's got the RE5 face but they started giving him that Caesar haircut that didn't suit him. Vendetta is when they really hit the gas to make him look entirely different and this movie looks like they just reused the same asset model and made him look more sickly old looking. No blue eyes? Fuck off. The whole cast has blue eyes, at least the core characters.

Claire is identical from Infinite Darkness so they're clearly just repackaging shit to save time/money. They did it with Jill for all to see and make up bullshit that she's a slow ager now to cover the fact they had a tiny budget.

The CV design was fine, though I see your point and think unlike Leon, Barry and Wesker by that point, Chris was fairly generic looking Chris's traits were fine though, I enjoyed a lot of his moments in CV. RE1 as well, and later the REmake. I always thought he was meant to be the cool, confident, older brother type with some wise cracks and I felt that was fine. RE5 totally undid everything likeable about him.

RE5's wasn't terrible, but I think looking back, it did feel like they weren't sure how to design him ever. I do think the idea of making him less baby faced and more rugged was a good step but that's it. I can see why he'd have a larger build then Leon, especially to change him up. RE6, I agree on. That looks weird.

Claire is a disappointment, I love her outfits so something new would be so nice. Jill I think is worse then Claire in this aspect because Claire is at least the proper age and look, but Jill is just a bullshit excuse.

He never really developed into a "character" until maybe RE6, but he's a hateable asshole in that one. He's very white bread. A blank slate almost up until RE5.

Why Capcom prefers him to Leon I'll never know.

Regardless on how anyone feels about him, Leon at least had an arc to his character. The unsure rookie that no one listens to, to becoming a super agent, sure of himself smart ass.

I really wish they would remaster the Outbreak games or update them, but keep them as close to the originals as possible—outside making it over-the-shoulder, of course.

At least RE1 and CV Chris were likeable and had some traits. RE5 seriously had no personality. But I completely agree on Leon and I don't know know why Capcom made Chris the face. Granted it spared Leon from RE8, so, sure.

I think visually Chris is fine in RE8 but he's got his super over the top angry personality from RE6 again, which I loathe.

They painted themselves into a corner with RE8's ending since they killed Ethan off, and apparently RE9 is going to be a direct continuation of it.

I mentioned before that I played that and replayed RE7 over the last few months and I misjudged them. Are they good RE games? No, not at all. But I can find enjoyment in them. But they reek of being divorced from the core series.

RE7 is pretty okay until you get to the boat, and the rest of the game crumbles. The boat stinks and the mines could've been way cooler and creepier and it's just flat.

RE8 feels even more distant from what you know as RE and nothing about it sticks out as "good." It's not a terrible game but it tries to be so much more than RE7 with upping the ante. It's a more straight forward action shooter with monsters. The monsters in it is much more diverse but they all stink still, except I do like the Soldats. The bosses in it are awful. I did like Miranda and her design, but I don't like the fact this game retcons the lore that virus experiment shit existed long before Spencer finds the progenitor plants in Africa in the 60s.

Marguerite in RE7 to me is one of the best bosses in the series. It's got that creepy survival horror factor from her look, she the hardest boss in that game, and I like it's a two level area you can fight her.

They’re not Resident Evil games. They’re an amalgamation of all the most popular horror games with a few references to RE thrown in. It’s Resident Evil in name only.
