Honestly, I’m done with Resident Evil after the inevitable Code Veronica remake—whether it sucks or not.

CV is a rare instance where I would think as long as they don't cut anything from the plot or areas that it would immediately be objectively better. CV's gameworld and pacing is so fucking bad that it feels impossible to fuck it up.

As long as they don't give it the reticle bloom from 4make it'll be better probably. 4make is unplayable with that shit.

Nosesis was a joke that could be downed with a single grenade on every difficulty IIRC. Mr X was just irritating that you couldn't even confront him. Lady D is god awful.

Sounded quite fine and exciting... up untill the Alfred part and Tyrant stalking.
Of course we cannot have a crazy crossdressing villain, that's anti-LGBT! Of course we'll shove in another stalker enemy, cuz this way we won't have to think too much about designin' interesting enemy encounters!

They just needed to fix the placement of all of the Tyrant fights. By the time you get to the one on the plane, you’re fucked.

I honestly felt something was wrong after the first real Nemesis encounter due to that grenade thing, I thought it would just stun him. Downing him? Bad sign. Hell even the scripted ones at the start just...no. I like Mr. X still if not for the memes at this point, and not being able to confront him sorta works. I find some of his programming to be BS like how he can get around the RPD WAY faster plus how some stuff doesn't work like him breaking that wall in the evidence wall. Lady D depends on my mood as I like her lore (I either laugh or am intrigued and sometimes both lol) but in game I'm pretty sure you can avoid all non-forced encounters with her. Which is bad. It kind of reinforces the point of how Nemesis got it done so well and Mr. X was a good follow up imo but somehow they could never get it right ever again.

Also again, Lady D was very much a marketing ploy and it's fact. That's kind of why I find her so god damn hilarious.

There's just so much wrong with that list like...why does Steve's age suddenly matter? Unless it's cause people still realllllllllllllly wanna ship him and Claire. Anxiety bar is silly though, that is straight out of Amnesia.

More Wesker is fine though, I will absolutely accept that.

If Capcom wants me back after CV Remake, they’ll need to remake the first game and let us play as Barry and Wesker. They also need to remake the Outbreak games. Stop dicking around with these other dumbass multiplayer modes.

I’d also like to see a game chronicling Wesker’s entire story arc, from his appointment at STARS, the events of Code Veronica and RE5 and leading up to his rebirth. It could be the game that actually revives his character even.
