Showcase just ended. Meh. RE4 doesn't look impressive tbh. Ada and the Merchant voices are awful. Luis looks like a crackhead.

REmake is still the undisputed heavy weight champion of remakes. It's not even remotely close to being threatened.

It's wild, but I have yet to find a single soul on board with the new Luis. Even new fans don't like it and said og Luis was fine. I heard apparently Ada's new VA is from the Welcome to Racoon City movie...and she was in a mid credits scene...the hell? That's stupid. The one from RE2R was fine enough.

Though RE2R Leon in RE4's style seems too young, it's growing on me a bit. The VA is doing good at least. Ashley's new design and VA is pretty good too, maybe my favorite of the batch. I'm a bit more optimistic on the remake, it should be -fine-, I think it looks good. But it should have come out later like we've said. I'll give it respect for going a different route, namely more of the cult and horror plus parrying works. I don't think it'll reach what REmake or RE2R did for me with their originals; REmake being an amazing update of an already great game, almost being the preferred version though I find RE1 PS1 still worth some merit. And RE2R for being a very different modern version of the original that stands closer to its source. I can't put RE3make with RE3 though, it's ok to me and doesn't offend me but it's clearly a cash grab that needed more time and strayed too far from its inspiration.

Also, PLEASE tell me they're going to finally explain Leon's reaction to Ada being alive. He was far more upset about her dying in RE2R, and that first trailer implied he was more broken up about it over time.

So, I got the first of the two Hot Heart Jill heads. I think it’s actually better than the Master Team headsculpt. I’m glad to have options now. I’m not sure I will even bother picking up the DamToys Jill. I don’t see them doing Carlos and I’m not a big fan of him anyway.

Of course this training wheels mechanic is being eaten up. God forbid the game has unforgiving gameplay mechanics. They all hate RE6 but they sure love reliving the same methodology of it in every game.
