Death Stranding: What we know.

Amelie (Red Dress) > Pioneered researched into what Bridges co. does today > Contact with Timefall aged her(?) > Bridget/President > Straight-up dies and is cremated

Bridges co. > Bridget/President, Die-Hardman (A Homo-Ludens prototype?), Deadman (Brain surgery)

Heartman (Robotic arms and battery pack?) > Amelie’s husband(?)

Mama > Lead scientist in the BB program(?) > Is mirroring the actions of herself in the upside-down world

Sam (Bun), member of Corpse Disposal Team 6 > Sam (BB & hair down) > Sam (Fetus deletus cross surgery) no longer needs to feel good to use BB powers > Every time he dies, a new handprint forms on his body > Has some modicum of control over electromagnetic fields seen as he levitates his necklace

Cliff the Veteran > Cliff (Pioneering) > Cliff (Botched surgery) > Cliff’s personal hell = WW1 > Cliff(?) (Modern inferno) > can use electromagnetic fields to control the strands that he uses to plug into his men > The spiderweb he’s on in the trailer is from an early Bridges co. poster and is reminiscent of the current Bridges logo

Fragile (Latex suit) > Suit reacts to electromagnetic fields

Homo-Demons > Higgs (Gold Skull mask) > Can seed Timefall and teleport > Kidnaps Amelie (in a dream?) > Has “Au” tattooed on his eyebrow > “Au” = Gold > Oil = “Liquid gold” > OR An equation for control over electromagnetic fields > Based in Edgenaught city and want independence from the United Cities of America > Dressed like Egyptians

Ceramic shipping co. (Yellow Timefall suits) > Don’t carry guns because they can’t hurt their product > You steal stuff from them and they hunt by sensing the stuff you have on your back

Satanic Function (Handcuff UI) > Lets you summon tools and stuff that you have stored

Chiralium, an element that grows during Timefall and looks like outstretched, golden hands > “Chiral” = asymmetric molecular bullshit I don’t understand > Sam’s dream catcher and Fragile’s bracelet both have a piece of it on them

Death Stranding > Whales, dolphin tentacle boss, fish, whale guts covering tanks, Beached Things > flowers grow when you walk near them > America was destroyed in a fight for oil and a massive oil spill explosion caused water to become a pollutant and all cities to somehow lose contact with each other > The sea has been drained to a point where the ocean floor will be a lot of what you explore. In one trailer, Sam reaches the actual ocean and coughs up oil. Cliff is trying to bring water back to the WW1 era for some reason > Coral(?), a resource that stands out in some trailers, is collectible > In the upside down world, things work differently. Somewhat like the one ring, the BTs can see you breathing in their world, but you are invisible. When you hold your breath, they lose interest. > The enemy represents oil and humanity water > Timefall probably won’t be an issue above the cloud line. Upside-down rainbows can be seen in both worlds, probably after Timefalls

Homo-demens - Madman
Homo-ludens - Playful man

As someone who considers himself and extremely tolerant guy, I could never stomach a YongYuck video. No offence to him but he tries too hard to be a celebrity, constantly cutting off his interviewees to brag about himself and his blind loyalty to Kojima hinders him to do any creative thinking.

The whole voice actor thing came out of left field. I honestly only watched him briefly last year during the EA madness that was going on.

I used to watch his videos only because he somehow managed to get nearly every MGS actor to be interviewed, which is awesome but a few common threads to expect from his videos were::

- Guests constantly being interrupted because he has gravitates to self aggrandizement. "Oh you're a theater actor? I'm a theater actor mysef!" "You practice martial arts? I'm a martial artist too!" "You wanted to be an astronaut? Well I'm an astronaut, a scientists, and heck, probably a superhero at night!" (I made that last part up, but you get the idea).

- Konami is the devil. Everything wrong with the world is because Konami. MGS has flaws? It's nobody's fault but Konami. Death Standing being delayed? Konami didn't allow the use of their FOX Engine, which would have cut Kojima's workload in half. Late for work? KONAMI!

- Kojima can't do anything wrong. This man is the epitome of perfection. He is the modern day Jesus and Mohammed. I mean sure, MGS2 sucks balls but everything this man touches smells like flowers laced with hallucinogen. Okay, don't mind the "hallucinogen" part, F-Konami!

I despise that tool and cannot fathom why they have a large following. This game will go belly up like MGSV, yet Metacritic will be 95% because this guy has been riding the wave of games from 15 years ago. Adam Sessler was spot in questioning why this hack is “leading” the industry when his games are nothing but vehicles to hang out with Pedowood.

MGS2 is actually my favorite in the entire franchise. I also really like MGS4 and the Raiden game. I’ve yet to finish MGS3 and 5 yet, but I enjoy 5 more than 3 because I just couldn’t grasp how to use stealth effectively in MGS3.

You haven't finished MGS3?? That's like, everyone's favorite and some say you'd go to hell for choosing any other MGS game.

MGS3's stealth is much slower paced than any other entry in the series. I remember the first time playing it in 2004 and had to virtually re-learn everything because it was much harder than MGS2, the initial learning curve at least.

You'll need to crawl most of the time and try to keep your camo index at 75-80%. Any lower and the guards will start to investigate. Having a camo index at 80% virtually guarantees you'll be undetected if you'e at least 5 feet away from enemies. Use the D-Pad when nearby enemies to move quietly, as moving the analog stick WILL produce sounds that will alert sentries at close range.

Also, keep you Stamina as high as you can. Forcing Snake to eat the same food will make him grow to like it, adding more stamina gain. If you don't heal when suffering from serious injury, your health won't reach 100% BUT you will heal naturally overtime and it will increase your life bar.

Finally, try to avoid using the free camera as I noticed that it makes newcomers even more disoriented. Try sticking to the original birdseye view, and use the right stick to slightly angle it to your advantage. And if you're forced into first person view because of tall grass, hold all shoulder buttons to peek up, very useful to scope out threats.

You'd be surprised, but MGS3 and MGS4 are the easiest of all the games once you get the hang of them. MGS1 and 2 on E.Extreme are a genuine nightmare.

Those are all the basic stealth tips I could think of, hope it helps!

I hated the way MGS3 played, both versions of it. Will never finish it. Already watched a playthrough of it years and years ago anyway.

You’re the first person I’ve met that hates MGS3’s gameplay.

This.

I personally don't like MGS3 as much as I used to (it's been fanserviced to death in later games) but the gameplay is the deepest in the series. Most of the time people don't like MGS3 is rarely, if ever because of the gameplay.

Maul, have you played Portable Ops? It's a sequel to MGS3 and I think the story is better than most of the post-MGS3 sequels.

I feel the reason it shines since a lot of it is reliant upon you since it lends itself to be approached many different ways. AI is MGS2 level and the sentries are slow and sometimes hard to spot in jungle areas. MGS4 is very linear for the most part. There is alternate routes to get places but the change of flavor isn’t enjoyable as much as Snake Eater set pieces. Additionally you’re so fucking overpowered in MGS4 that it removes any need for ultra caution.

Unlimited ammo store is the biggest contributor to making it such an easy game. Max health at the beginning. MGS2 has it but that game is way harder and I think the hardest if the series by far. There’s also too many large set pieces make it easy to sneak everywhere. No real strategy required for any of the bosses. They have gimmicks that are easily managed and definitely the least threatening of the Solid Snake series.

I just don’t like controls working against me. The longer it takes for me to get the game down, the less likely I’ll enjoy it. I made it to the part where you’re finally in building, in a hallway, and there’s a boss not long after. Killed the boss and never touched it again. Lost all interest.

Furthermore, I believe it was also around the time that Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory had come out, arguably one of the best stealth games ever made. There was a lot of good in MGS3, but not enough to keep me interested in the same way that Chaos Theory did.
