Reminder that Jon prefers Starbucks over wine

I didn't notice that when I watched it. There was another scene way back with Jaime in the throne room at King's Landing where he's holding a cup of coffee. I know there's a lot going on when they're filming, but I'm surprised someone doesn't catch stuff like that before the episodes air.

After having some time to think about the episode, there were a couple parts that bugged me.

I didn't like that Jon sent Ghost with Tormund. Not only that, but they didn't even have a proper goodbye. Fuck you, Jon Snow.
Also, I didn't like that they Jamie and Brienne finally got together just for him to leave when he thinks Cersei is in trouble. His excuse for heading back to King's Landing was weak sauce considering the changes to his character over the past several seasons.

With what's been going on the last couple episodes, most of what I predicted isn't going to happen. I just really, really don't want to see Jon on the throne, but it looks like that's where it's headed.

Starbucks just got big time advertising. I can’t believe they didn’t notice that? And Jon’s character really messed up not giving his old boy at least a pet before sending him north.

I think Jamie left to complete the circle and become Queen Slayer. Sword through the belly, killing Cersei's child first, as all her children die before her....

And those dragons, she did't see some large ass fleet creeping up on them?

Yea, this season seems very rushed lets get this show over with....

Fuck. The Mad Queen nuked King's Landing. Cleganebowl. Cersei and Jamie.

Dani wouldn't have done any of that if Jon had just boned her. You know what they say about a woman scorned. I blame Jon Snow.

After the battle with the Night King, I knew they weren't going to go in the direction I'd hoped for the ending. This episode was insane on a couple different levels. It was basically an hour of pure destruction and wrecking shit--which was glorious. It also did a horrible job with how some of the characters died.

Spoiler: Things I Loved

--Dany absolutely laying waste to King's Landing. She's had everyone she cared about (except Greyworm) either die, betray, or fail her. She's never been the most stable person anyway, so in light of all that loss I don't know how anyone could have expected her to act any differently.
--Clegane Bowl didn't disappoint. The Mountain looked like a more oozy version of Darth Vader in Return of the Jedi, and I loved it. He and the Hound went out in one of the more satisfying ways than the show has given most other characters.

Spoiler: Things That Made Me Go "Meh"

--The Golden Company. What a waste.
--Varys. That wasn't going to end any other way once he decided Dany wasn't fit to rule. Unfortunately for him, he didn't have the position of power and influence at the end that he had when the series started.

Spoiler: Things I Hated

--Tyrion. They've completely wasted the intelligence of the character since he got together with Dany. He has failed at every single task she's given him. Where is the genius manipulator from the earlier seasons? Now he just makes snarky comments that people can put on shirts and wanders around looking sad about everything that's happening. I love the character, but they've done him dirty on the show.
--Euron. He's a bad caricature and didn't deserve to play as big of a part as he did in the show. His fight with Jaime was ridiculous.
--Jaime. Ugh. Any and all character development went out the window when he left Brienne. Then, he dies with a whimper under the Red Keep.
--Cersei. Where's the fucking Queen Bitch that's been around for 8 seasons?

I have to say, I love it. That foreshadowing scene with Dany in season 2 definitely makes sense now. Tyrion has become more of an emotional mess but partly due to him laying off ALC (whereas he used to drink and know things quite often). I was ok with the Jamie arc. It is who he is at the core. He knew what was likely to happen when he made the trip.

There was so much I was hoping to see go differently, but I'm still enjoying the show. There are so many characters and storylines that everyone watching has strong opinions on how it should end, and the odds of people getting what they want are very low. I was in no way expecting a happy ending for anyone, really, but all of my predictions have been thrown out the window.

Now I think:

Arya will kill Dany--maybe wearing Greyworm's face so she can get close to her.
Jon will abdicate the throne and head back North to be with Tormund and Ghost.
Gendry will take the throne since he's no longer a bastard and have Tyrion as his Hand.
Sansa will rule the North.

Just wanted to pop in (and avoid the spoilers) and say that ThreeZero is doing a Jon Snow 2.0 (from season 8) and it looks amazing.

That said, I paid a decent price for the first one, so it’s a cheaper investment to just buy the OneSixthKit headsculpt (which looks equally as nice) and call it a day.

Waiting on a season 7 Daenerys now... aaaany day now.

I have the first Jon figure as well and think it’s great. The new one does look fantastic though—just not sure I need more than one. I never picked up the first Dany, but I’d like one of her in her silver outfit.

Yeah, I’ll definitely be looking into upgrading to that one. Maybe if the headsculpt and hairstyle matches her look from the season 3 figure, then I’ll just get the head.
