It's the Anti-TLOU. Nothing uplifting or relatable. No lighthearted moments. No relationships to build on. Just a diversified cast where the White hero gets killed in the beginning with the laziest set of writing in recent history. The doctor's "daughter"? Really?

I actually see why she acts like that towards him. Sure, they definitely set the game up to have a moment like that occur on purpose. There are no two ways about it. They wanted that message to get out there.

However, in the context of this scene, Ellie is still pissed about Joel not letting her die for the cure. So, it ties into the first game. That’s all good and well. The game isn’t a horrible mess until they put a freak of nature with a golf club through Joel’s face. That’s when it’s downhill from there. And boy is it a steeeeep fucking hill. That ending made me want to drown myself in bleach.
