Jai Courtney is back as boomerang:

According to Business Insider, Jai Courtney, who played Captain Boomerang in Suicide Squad in 2016, will be reprising his role in James Gunn’s upcoming The Suicide Squad. Which means that at least two characters, Boomerang and Deadshot (this time played by Idris Elba), will be returning to the film.


“We’re getting ready to shoot in a few months’ time,” Courtney told Business Insider. “There’s not much else I can reveal about it, but, yeah, you’ll be seeing Boomerang back for sure.”

I was one of the few that liked the Oscar winning Suicide Squad.

There were a few good parts, but the writing was shit and the editing was absolute garbage. The majority of the characters were awful, Letoker was a dumpster fire, and William Smith was Will Smith to the nth degree. It’s so bad that it can’t help but be entertaining though.

And now Viola Davis is back as Amanda Waller, Joel Kinnaman is back as Flag, and Harley is confirmed to return as well.

So much for it being a reboot

I doubt it, but i think maybe he saw the backlash going on and didnt want more drama or they didnt want to pay what was fair
