What is this a remake?
Another reboot.
In terms of costume designs? Yes. And I'm ok with that.
Mediocre is better than over-detailed INYOURFACE shit in MK11
It's just a boring teaser-cinematic anyway. No fights and no hints at gameplay.
It is sad they went with all-in-reboot instead of going deeper and restarting from first tournaments which took place many years before the original game. They could pretty much reinvent the franchise with new characters. But no, we gotta have all the classics (even if they're not the same characters anyway), because "the fans" want their Scorpions and Kitanas. On the other hand, we can finally say "this is a reboot, so it's not canon and I don't have to like it".
