It looks amazing, but I’m praying to fucking god this isn’t going to feel like Sekiro or Nioh or any of those types of games. I want this to be a Sucker Punch version of Ninja Gaiden, sans the hyper unrealistic stuff.

I had to look it up yesterday. It looks like a shoebox. And they really are just running out of ideas for names at this point. Couldn’t be more obvious now.

I’ll be the first to say that I’ve supported the Xbox since it’s inception. I’ve always loved the systems, even despite the RRoD and their peripherals being complete and utter trash—I’ve never had anything from PlayStation break on me, that I didn’t physically break myself out of abuse. I’ve always felt that Xbox Live was better and, for a time, they even had better games.

I’m just becoming more and more disenchanted with them. They’re a goddamn joke. They really are. My Xbox One is still where my friends prefer to play, but I feel like my launch PS4 is the best system in the house, even despite owning an Xbox One X and almost 350 games on it. I only have a piddly 52 PS4 games. Many of them are all unique and not shared on any other system.

Neither platform is perfect, but it’s really frustrating to see Microsoft just fall behind and fumble so poorly.

Holy shit. I never had three. Just the one. They eventually solved the problem.

I had one die three months after I got it. The replacement died about four months after I got it, and the next replacement lasted about a year before doing it too. After that I was done with Xbox and haven’t gone back.

That’s horrible luck. My first one died about 28 days outside of the three year warranty. Was pretty pissed about it.

Yea string of bad luck there. I've had the original Xbox, a 360 that red ringed and was replaced by Microsoft and that one still works. And have a Xbone S. I'll prolly grab this monolith.

The gameplay they've shown last year felt like Arkham Knight + Assassin's Creed.

I can’t even recall much of the gameplay footage. I’m just tired of everyone trying to copy the Dark Souls formula. It’s so lazy and bland at this point.

The only pre-Fallen Order games with Souls-like gameplay (outside of those you already named) are Bloodborne, Code Vein and Monster Hunter World. So all in all so far only four games that aren't made by FromSoftware.

No, there are a shit load of them. Demons Souls, Dark Souls, Dark Souls II, Dark Souls III, Bloodborne, Sekiro, Nioh, Nioh 2, Lords of the Fallen, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, Code Vein, Ashen, Surge and Surge II.

I’m not sure I would lump Monster Hunter World into the souls category. It’s always been its own thing and a few other game franchises have been the ones to imitate it.

I got mine replaced 4 times at the time, since they extended the warranty for the lots that were marked to be prone to RROD.

When I got the last replacement I sold it before it burned and bought a used PS3, that used PS3 was like 2 years old when I bought it, and I used A LOT, never once gave me a single problem, not a single crash, ran like a kitten for years, and when I sold it to buy a PS4, it still ran as smooth as when I bought it, an amazing machine. Or maybe it was just good karma after getting 4 shitty xboxes.
