Saw the price the other day. This is double the PS4 when it released. So they've quickly priced themselves out of the average home. Even when they release a "slim" version it'll still be five hundred bucks. They can piss off. 75% of PS4 owners wont change over for that price.

75% of PS4 owners might finally become PC master race. With graphic cards, processors etc you can make a high end gaming computer for $400 easy with better software than Sony has in PS5. Which as I stated is years behind being implemented.

They’re all placeholder systems honestly, because they can’t seem to produce the perfect one. One that lasts ten years and can then be upgraded like a pc after such a time. The warranty would be long voided by then anyway.

It’s not too difficult to do. I refuse to believe backwards capabilities are that difficult today. PS4 seriously lacks the media uses you had with the last one. You can’t even make a fucking wallpaper.

I’m not even talking about that honestly. Although, that really should be a staple. It will sell each iteration of these consoles.

What I’m talking about is keeping consoles in people’s homes longer. Delay the next big one by selling parts to make existing consoles better.

In addition to revealing the PS5 specs, Sony Interactive Entertainment has confirmed that while the PlayStation 5 will be backwards compatible with the PS4, the backwards compatibility won't be 100%, at least not at launch. That said, Sony does note that most of the top 100 games on PS4 -- measured by play time -- will be playable on PS5 when the console launches later this year. Beyond this, games will need to be handled on a game-by-game basis. In other words, there won't be universal backwards compatibility with the PS4, and according to Sony, this is at least partially because the PS5 is actually too fast for certain titles.

For the sake of comparison, the Xbox Series X will be fully backwards compatible with the Xbox One, and will offer a similar game-by-game basis for Xbox 360 and original Xbox games. In other words, in this department, it appears the Xbox Series X has bested the PS5.

Well Sony fucked up... AGAIN... I'm done. I'm going to PC or Xbox. There's no new Uncharted games, Red Dead is both platforms and if Sony thinks PS5 sales are going to boost because of the The Lesbian of Us Part II. THEY are sadly mistaken. With RE3 coming out on PC and Xbox as well there's no need to get this POS system... I've been playing Playstation since PS1, this is just sad...

I think it’ll work itself out eventually. Backwards compatibility is the selling point of consoles going forward. There are too many collections out there now.
