Yeah, I dunno who Vinyl Studios is, or if they’re an alias of an existing toy company, like how DamToys has that one offshoot brand (VTS Toys?) which allows them to release figures under another banner without entirely forfeiting the flagship.

Either way, holy hell is this a nice figure. The stand is actually pretty good too. It’s a lot like those hexagonal Hot Toys stands from a few years back, but the edge of it looks as if it’s encased in a thicker layer of plastic—which gives it a more unique look.

It’s still essentially just a “once-upon-a-time” Hot Toys stand, but it’s impressive that a third party company would go the extra mile, considering a stand wasn’t even solicited with the figure, as far as I can remember.

My only real complaint about the figure, as I said, is how much softer the headsculpt is, compared to the prototype. And it’s not even really the sculpt. It’s something to do with the mouth area. Maybe just the lack of scruff in the beard. It looks too light or too thin.

Also, the points of his hair seem off. They don’t look as natural as they should. I would equate it to comparing an Asmus sculpt to a Hot Toys sculpt. While the likeness might be better on an Asmus figure, the quality of a Hot Toys head (due to the vast resources of the company itself) is usually better.

The 1911 doesn’t slide back either. I think the magazine is removable, but I can’t seem to pry it out. Don’t want to damage anything. Forgot he even came with the big axe weapon. Was disappointed that he didn’t come with a cigarette holding hand, outside of the gun holding hand, which is kinda lame.

So, it could definitely be better. However, I still think it’s a really damn good figure. If you’re a fan of the movie, the actor or just assassins/hired guns in general, he’s a worthy addition. I wish I had a MGS2 Snake to go alongside him, but John Wick and Rambo will have to do.

They focus way too much on waifus and not the notable ones, but generic ones...

Yuuuuuuuup. Utter insanity. I was looking for the Sideshow Premium Format Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception Nathan Drake statue, and got some responses. A few of them were around MSRP, one was noticeably below it so I worked with them. They kept insisting on friends and family, issues with Paypal, screen shots, confirmation...and even after agreeing to Goods and Services, they kept saying there were so many issues with getting it. They said I have to do the refund manually, they can't do it, and so forth. Supposedly the email is to their wife, who is completely lost or something. Their grammar is also notoriously bad. Like Engrish bad.
I did Goods and Services because people have attempted to gyp me (on the forum and off, no less) so badly that unless I actually know you or have a back up plan, I don't do friends and famly lol

Well I got my refund, and went to the second seller....and literally nearly the same exact thing happened. Bad Engrish, even the same wordings (both sellers claimed they needed F&F because of 'paypal scrapes'). Need it sent to their wife...this one agreed to Goods & Services though. At least this one was more 'believable' with delays and such but still, the hell? I have another seller who has proper English and the like but this is insane!
With the first seller, whoever I sent the original funds to had no idea what was going on. That's a new one actually, having a buyer send funds to someone completely random....

Not sure why the huge spike besides Uncharted merchandise (hell just most Naughty Dog merch) being so scarce. I thought The Last of Us Part II would have killed that since it caused people to turn on Uncharted while leaving Jak & Daxter and Crash Bandicoot (mainly since Crash was long out of their hands) totally untouched.
Not sure what else to say on my whole debacle however. This is the strangest shit I've ever dealt with from any seller because I don't see what they could have gained...they tell me to send the funds via F&F to someone they don't even know? The second seller seemed fine since I got through to them and at least verified that they have the piece, and can do goods and services but I'm still extremely skeptical due to the similarities between both sellers. A third one at least types in actual English, but they're using promo pics.

Oh my freakish god, I think ANOTHER seller fucked me over on Drake. He claimed for a week I had to 'confirm payment' on Paypal and never told me how, just to look on the payment and check. Otherwise he said he had to wait a week because of Paypal issues. It's been a day and yesterday, he said he has to wait another day and can't check cause of 'work' (at 10 PM.) Vague as hell. I've done a dozen+ sales on Paypal the past two months, and not once did this ever happen. Most of these sales were far greater in value...
Has there been some huge increase of scammers lately? Other sites I'm on have had this too with similar mannerisms.
