Ok, after a rewatch it is obvious that the whole thing was created as just another anti-USSR propaganda. Not only it has nothing to do with actual history but also uses transperant cinematic tropes and cliches to make USSR look like western version, aka "it was inhuman and shit". No, it was not. Every country, every culture and every regime has its pros and cons. Focus on bad things through carefully crafted lenses of overdramatic hypertrophy and you'll only see a grim twisted parody of real life.

Anyway, nothing new here. Politics and businessmen do not care for people, their lives and tragedies.
If I could I'd spit in faces of everyone who created this series thinking they were doing the right thing.
