I know Grace has some good insight here and there, but why do I get the feeling she can’t be trusted on this one? The fact that she isn’t reviewing it says a lot.
an extended universe with evil versions of Aquaman and Wonder Woman out there. A half-man/half-sea creature terrorising the oceans and a powerful witch who chokes people with a rope that forces people to tell the truth get mentioned.
Not sure if they'll ever get green lit but other evil versions of DC superheroes sounds interesting enough (though I'm not sure if DC would want all their biggest characters being turned into psychotic serial killers).
still really want to see this. Screw Grace. She sucks. Just don't know when I'll have time to see this and Godzilla. Damn kids and their baseball season.
Was able to watch a version of this on Kodi and i thought it was pretty good. Nothing great, but I would watch a sequel. Pretty good gore in this too, that caught me off guard.
I fucking LOVED this movie--critics be damned. It was surprisingly gory with a few jump-scare moments. I liked the kid in it--which was a bit of a shock because normally I'm not a big fan of films with a kid as the lead. It's probably the closest thing to a Supreme Power movie that I'll ever see in my lifetime. As far as I'm concerned, WB should have done this film and counted it as canon in the DCEU. It could easily have been set on Earth 3 with this movie being the introduction of Ultraman. I'm more excited about them (hopefully) making more films in this universe than anything DC has planned.
So it's worth the watch? Debating to pick this up on the 20th. Really want to see it but if it isn't worth spending the full price at this point i'd wait for a sale.
