Alita beats the hell out of captain marvel and none of the progressives gave it the praise it deserved.
It shows you that they cherry pick. They dont like all representation. Only what suits them.
On top of that they always go out of their way to insult whatever doesn’t suit their narrative.
There were so many websites claiming Alita was ‘bodyshaming’ women when her memory of her body was reconstructed in the film.
That because she had a decent size bust and thin waist (even though that’s what the style was like) it was insulting to anyone with a ‘normal body’
And on top of that we have a woman of color in a super diverse cast that you think they’d love to celebrate - but nope, no love because Rosa Salazar wasn’t running her mouth on social issues like they want. (Just look at Malgus at ssf and how he was celebrating Brie, and would only refer to Rosa as ‘that actress’ and didn’t even bother to refer to her by name)
It’s unfortunate they make up most of the reviewers too since they gave it piss poor reviews and I really think that affected its box office take for the normies. Meanwhile the audience score is in the 90s and as usual, is more accurate,
