...I know it's an odd thread, but I've gotten into it big the last two years now. Not personally, but following the pros. The first set of matches is tonight in Pittsburgh for World Armwrestling League.

My all time favorite is Devon Larratt. He's got a sex offender mullet here, but he's crazy strong.

I would like to join an arm wrestling club but there's zero in Philly that I'm aware of. I'd like to get good at it, since it's way more complicated than you'd think since there is a lot of techniques and strategies the pros use to up their advantage. There's also big money in it too. One pro from Erie PA just got a contract for $800k to continually compete overseas.

But the level of training you need to do is astronomical to get your elbow joints, forearms and biceps as strong as steel. A lot of them have dealt with injuries, primarily tissue and not broken bones. Devon has had both elbows repaired and I believe his right one twice.

The main thing that will break a bone is if your body is facing away from your arm, which leads to a horrendous spiral fracture in the upper arm. If you're pushing only to the side and you're not experienced, typically it's going to break in half in your forearm.

It's really rare for broken arms in the pros. But it can be common with open challenges. Larratt has broken a bunch of arms with dudes that have something to prove. It's just supposed to be for fun. He'll let you work to see what you got, then pin you. But the last guy he broke was some asshole bodybuilder with an huge ego.

This match was fucking awesome.

WAL is now charging $2.99 to watch. At least this time the app didn't fuck up.

Because the dumbass turned away from his arm. It's the easiest way to break it. The average pro is trying to bring their forearm as close as they can to their bicep and lock it in place, and use their upper body to bring the arm over. Funnily enough, that girl did that correctly.

Whats with using the whole body and off the table. Should just be the arms moving, planted on the table.

Pro arm wrestling allows all that shit and has always been that way. You just cannot come off the pad. If you're using just arms, you'd see a few broken every single tournament.

WAL 504 is Thursday. Without a doubt the biggest match for the sport this year. Dave Chaffee vs. Devon Larratt.

I skipped around on the one you posted saturday. Looked like a jam packed crowd of 150 people. I watched the final match and the dude with hair seemed to do nothing but complain. Still can't get what is considered a clean match. They are all hanging off the side of the tables and their elbows weren't even planted most of the time.

They should also go ahead and adopt gimmicks. Koko B Ware vs The Undertaker ect....

It’s a legal move called the kings move. It’s been getting shit for years. And complain is his whole gimmick at the start of matches most of the time. The reffing was shit that entire match.

This is a good set of clean matches.
