I honestly feel like 70% of my anger for this piece of shit is solely due to Smith.

Nah, he's the best and least annoying actor in this horiible film.

Problem is... they tried to humanize Genie yet wanted to hit all checkboxes of craziness from the original. Smith isn't even close to the level of Williams' energy and crazy charisma, and his character is too different. Every time he has to do something fanservicy it feels forced and boring.

Again, not his fault.
