Was the first season any good?

It was better than I expected, but it was unnecessarily violent. Every Titan killed someone, the fight scenes were brutal, and they say “fuck” all the time. There were some cool moments in it though. Hawk and Dove were awesome. The episode with Doom Patrol in it was great.

Although Batman showed up in Titans‘ season 1 finale, viewers never got to see his face. But it looks like DC Universe subscribers will finally get to witness the Dark Knight in all of his glory when the series returns later this year. Deadline is reporting that Iain Glen as Batman has joined the cast of the show’s second season.

Glen has spent the last eight years playing Jorah Mormont on Game of Thrones. Glen is also known for starring in the last three RESIDENT EVIL films as Dr. Isaacs. His other screen credits include DOWNTON ABBEY, KICK-ASS 2, and LAURA CROFT: TOMB RAIDER.

I was surprised when I saw they cast him. He's definitely old for Batman and not at all what I pictured them going for considering the show still has Jason Todd as Robin. Batman shouldn't be that old when there are two more Robins still to come down the line.

WB must not be getting as many subscriptions as they thought they would. I think they made a mistake not having the entire season up all at once. Most people don’t watch week to week anymore.

It'll be interesting to see if they keep the same tone for the second season. I really want them to lighten up and not make every team member a sailor-mouthed murderer.
