That movie was awful. People didn’t like The Dark World? Yeah, okay. This one was absolutely terrible. It’s definitely Iron Man 3 levels of bad.

That's very insulting to IM3. I may hate that movie but it's far from this new level of low...
I think "Love and Thunder" might be the worst movie I've even seen, and that's no joke.
Marvel Studios should tank as soon as possible. They should tank HARD!

I physically cringed watching both movies, so they’re just as bad as the other.

I've never seen a comic book movie jump all over the place this rapidly....I'd expect this from Spider-Man maybe? It had some good ideas...but MAN did it over stay its welcome and 'jokes'.

6/10 at best when it works and when Natalie Portman was the focus. Also great soundtrack. But man I have such low hopes for the other MCU films now.

Ask yourselves this:

Besides No Way Home and the Multiverse of Madness… what film has actually been good? The closest thing is the Black Widow movie.

However, I’d almost consider that an Infinity Saga film, in the same vein that Far From Home was still attached to that era. It definitely does not feel like a Multiverse Saga film.

The new Marvel is snowballing into mediocrity and wokenes. It’s starting to forget what made the other films successful. They’re putting the focus on all kinds of silly shit and it’s hurting the films. Eternals was doomed from the start, because no one really gives a fuck about that storyline.

Black Widow was ok at best but it was flawed in baffling ways. It strangely felt like an 'old' MCU film - like maybe pre Winter Soldier - that didn't take risks (like actually killing off people) and forced humor. I can't stress enough how it came out too late to matter. That said, it did actually take place during the Infinity Saga (Civil War and Infinity War minus the mid credits scene) so I think that's why.

I don't even think it's just wokeness; the MCU just isn't good anymore. It does feel like its relying too hard on the shared universe idea and doesn't have a clear identity at points. Additionally, they don't really have a 'face' anymore. RDJ as Iron Man was considered the center of Infinity Saga, later Evans as Captain America and very late I'd argue Holland as Spider-Man. But the former two and many other characters are gone in some way. Holland can work, but the thing is at least RDJ wasn't carrying the load on his own. At WORST, the films were fine because they were finding their way and it showed in sequels. But Love and Thunder and other films contradict that. I guess also we're not sure what's next or who is the biggest threat unlike before where it came clear it was Thanos.

Wokeness isn't helping however.

This movie was fucking dogshit. Anyone who says otherwise is delusional. I just watched Black Panther 2 and even that didn’t seem as bad as this. Neither film was that great though, to be honest. The Dark World takes a diarrhea dump on Love and Thunder and the first Black Panther movie is miles better than the sequel, somehow.

For the record, I tried watching this again. I couldn’t do it. Same as Captain Mehvel. I made it to the bubblegum part on the second time for that film though. So, fairly far into it. I made it to the night raid in Love and Thunder and already wanted to throw up. It is categorically one of the worst MCU films. You have to be braindead retarded to sit through this more than once.

It's a hard call with Black Panther 2 because they most likely had a completely different film in mind, so I give it a pass slightly there. Bringing in Iron Heart with that stupid ass suit....well was just stupid. I saw some bits and was like 'oh boy they didn't learn'. Shame though, she was surprisingly fine in the 2017 Spider-Man cartoon. Some other stuff in that film from what I saw had no excuse though and I feel like would have happened (like Iron Heart) anyway.

Black Widow has Florence Pugh and that's all it had, besides being hilarious but...not for the right reasons. I was somewhat surprised Black Widow as the lead doesn't work well but somewhat not, she's meant to be on the side or not center stage.

I don't know what it is for Captain Marvel but the film bored me to pieces. It's very generic too. I've seen her in the comics and she's pretty neat, so this made no esnse.

I actually liked Black Widow, but it was also technically part of the Infinity Saga. Anything from that saga is infinitely better than most things that came after—generally speaking. Captain Marvel and Iron Man 3 are still turds.

Wonder Woman 1984, Black Adam, Justice League The Snyder Cut, Joker, The Suicide Squad, Far From Home, No Way Home, Venom: Let there Be Carnage and Black Widow are the only comic book films I’ve picked up since Endgame. And I wish I skipped a few of those, to be honest.

I’ve seen all the marvel stuff on Disney+ though—outside of Ms Marvel. I refuse to buy any of it on blu ray. I made an exception for Black Widow, because she always needed her solo movie.

And of course, being a huge Spider-Man fan, it’s hard not to want those films. Same with Batman, although they are royally destroying DC for me.
