I'll give it a shot, just because I refuse to believe that it can be worse than Reloaded / Revolution.
Nostalgia can be used very artisticly and not just as a gimmick.

The whole aesthetic of this thing just makes me think of Cyberpunk. That is not a good thing.

It must of been contracted that Keanu had a beard so he can hide his aging bloated face. I like how they dug Moss out of a cemetery for this.

Well, this wasn't exactly what I expected and the direction of fight scenes is abysmal... Watched it as a commentary and reflection of Wachowski's thoughts and feelings, so I did enjoy it on that level. It's not pro-feministic or pro-transgender, so there's that. First 30-40 minutes are the best, than it goes off the rails and becomes your typical big blockbuster. There are some cool scenes and concepts that I really like, but overall it's not a very good film.

I heard Trinity is the one now, so it does seem to have the level of demonic leftists bullshit you'd expect in movies today. To me this always looked like absolute garbage from the very first picture leaked to the last trailer, it looks like I was right

She's not THE One, just the other half. This Matrix is completely new and was built to be stabilized by both Neo and Trinity for maximum efficiency. Makes sense that she'd have powers as well.

The issue people have is that it takes Neo a lot of time to remember who he is and how to use his powers, while Trinity gets it all in an hour or less (movie time, not screen time). But it can be explained by the fact that they've fed Neo crazy ammout of blue pills and messed with his head for years over and over again.

Sadly I ended up watching it, wife fell asleep an hour in, I managed to watch the whole thing but by the end I wished I fell asleep too

Score: literal snoozefest/10

Though I'll admit it's not bad enough that I feel I wasted 2 hours of my life that I'll never get back, I did like a few aspects of it, mainly the real world stuff, which is ironic because I hated all the real world shit from the previous sequels

Rewatched this one recently. Funny how it all (including bad stuff) fits nicely into "FUCK HOLLYWOOD and FUCK MODERN AUDIENCE" narrative that Wachowski went for. It's the "Starship Troopers" kind of thing, but without clever pretence. A very personal story and highly emotional statement conveyed through a purposefully bad film. I hate that I kinda love it...

I just rewatch action scenes from the sequels, those were cool.
Plus they had amazing soundtracks, on par with the original.

I actually think the original trilogy is decent. The new film about made me want to throw up though.
