Completely agree. We didn’t really get to explore the consequences of the choice he made. They just did a time skip and then thrust us into a revenge mission not long after. Sure, some of it is discussed and explored later in the game, but they severely mishandled what could have been a great game.

And I don’t remember if Abby was roided out in the early trailers or not. It doesn’t surprise me that they transgendered her up though. They can’t just have a normal (or even attractive) woman in games anymore. It’s gotta be something that fits a narrative they’re trying to sell.

And that's why the newer GB so much better since it tried to tie itself into the universe without being woke bullshit. While it isn't something I'm interested in, I did watch some clips from it and I didn't hate it.
Far as I can tell yeah, it's more respectful too.

The most we saw was Tommy's reaction, and Ellie's eventual discovery which...I'm not sure how I really feel. Tommy's was done well enough, but Ellie's I don't think went as well as I think it could have. As for it being a revenge mission, yeah. It also feels so weird using the decimated, not-zombie apocalypse world for that; the cordyceps feels like such an after thought and like it plays second fiddle. Uncharted actually would have worked for revenge, since they said the series isn't over and only Drake's story was.

I remember when the rumors flying around that there was a poorly done trans character, it was thought to have been Abby and I see why. That said, it's always baffling how despite being roided out, she gets taken out very easily. Arguably more then Ellie.

It's way worse because Abby is a good character that suffers from the twist of perspective and them making her into a roid monster (which she wasn't in the 2017 trailer).

TLoU2 sucks ass because instead of expanding on the original's grounded gray morality aspect and showing life is hard, not black-n-white, they went with childish "revenge is bad you see". The core concept of the sequel wasn't fitting at all so I wouldn't even listen to people who think that it's a good one.
I don't think Abby is that well done, especially with the narrative they chose where it's like 'no see she's misunderstood and really a decent person at heart'. At best, well ok I've seen that before and it can work. At worst, not only does it fail, but the game is telling me how to feel when the first one didn't with some scenarios.

Totally agree on the morality though, it was great for what I said. I do think the idea of Joel's actions catching up to everyone is a pretty good one but wow was it done badly. Even weirder is when it came to the cannibals in the first TLOU, that was part of the point there. Joel killed a group of people and it caught up to both himself and Ellie. It was unsettling even, and done nicely for that part of the game. Stretching it out for an entire game...with not much more? No.

They mishandled the Last of Us so badly that I only own the two games, the original remaster of part 1 and a single figure. That’s it. I’ll never have the desire to own anything else. I got part 2 heavily discounted on eBay. So, the company didn’t even make money off of it. I’ll do the same with part 3 most likely. Sucks to suck.

That's best case scenario for TLOU II lol. I even sold my collectors edition though I wanted a regular copy that I found for $10...new. It's still such a shame, the game plays great and had some great ideas. But they were so far up their ass and Druckman should never have been part of ND in the first place. Especially since I heard he practically harassed them to get in.

It won't last for long lol. Lot of games and movies debuted with high remarks from people before reality set in that there was much more wrong. I don't think it'll be that bad, I'd hope not since I don't want the original's legacy tarnished even more. But 10/10? Or even 9/10? Nah.

If Insomniac could acquire the wealth, prestige and fame of ND, I'd be happy at this point. I think they've outdone ND in the most perfect way actually. It's wild how TLOU II warped that entire company, or just Druckmann.

Both can burn to the ground. Action-adventure genre is for people who don't actually care about video games. Nowadays everything has to be unchartedized, and I fucking hate it with a passion. ND created "Crash Bandicoot", Insomniac created "Ratchet & Clank", those are the only good things I can say about these "v i d e o g a m e" developers.

I'm....confused with Insomniac. Ratchet is still on going and I don't think Spider-Man is remotely Uncharted like.

Just Druckmann. It's in his blood to subvert. Anyone that built that company they ousted.
Which he fails at but I do blame him. He's trying to be the next Kojima and that's a literal sin.

Ok, so. I played the remake. It....literally doesn't feel any different. It actually pisses me off a bit more then I thought it would because it absolutely added nothing. It feels worse if anything. Joel's movement just feels bad and it felt like some upgrades were mandatory such as the aiming one. AI feels silly like I've had them IN FRONT OF JOEL or Ellie (when you play as her), they didn't see me. The infected AI particularly is laughable because there are some sequences (that feel identical to the first game) where I know I cheesed the infected. Vocal performances are no different either, and I think that's just lazy. Maybe I got unlucky.

I know the game advertised improvements the sequel did. Can someone tell me? I didn't pay full price, I had some best buy rewards and bought this with another game. Was like $20.

The remake vs remaster debate pisses me off enough and I know this game is going to make it worse. It's a shame, the original story, environments and some gameplay bits are FINE. It didn't tarnish the original thankfully. I'm not upset I played it, took me only a week. But I will die on the hill of the first game's story, and environments with the sequel's gameplay would have been damn near perfect. I'm honestly glad Naughty Dog didn't even do the Crash Bandicoot remakes now.

The two glaring flaws with it. One. It didn't even need it. The remaster is excellent. I had no bugs in it and it felt like a nice polished version of it and the change it very noticeable the first time you play it. Two. They changed every single face, and even changed the bodies in some cases and the acting feels very unnatural over new models.

So, those games cost that much to make? I don’t think I would be pushing all this agenda nonsense in that case. You can afford to lose business from 2% to 4% of the abc people and their cronies. They only make up roughly 2% of the population, but have double the support. I’d say, at worst, they would lose 6% business by not caving in to the woke agenda. At worst.

On the flip side, you’re EASILY losing 20% up front, before the thing escalates out of control due to YouTube and other social media exposure. Keep the fucking agendas out of our escapism, you decrepit, degenerate fucks.

By the way, some asshat named Michael Imperioli (have no fucking idea who he is honestly) that had something to do with the Sopranos came out and made what I can only assume is a satirical statement about the recent Supreme Court ruling. He said he forbids bigots and homophobes from watching his films, since they ruled in favor of allowing the web designer to deny service to gays.

Kinda missed the mark with his retort though. He’s not offering a service. He’s making movies and shows, but it’s not a service. He gets paid to take roles. He gets to choose what roles he takes. He’s not forced to take anything. Just like no one should be forced to offer a service to someone. You seeing the improper correlation he made yet? What he described would be like the web designer creating the website and then forbidding certain people to use it once it gets to the end user. Fucking dumbass. He looks about as stupid as an extinct bird, so it’s not surprising.
