I've been toying with buying the Limited Run series of KOF as they put them out on PS4 hardcopy which is pretty interesting. I already own most of them digitally but I kinda would like to start collecting old games.

Some examples. They're not expensive exactly but they're limited obviously.

Get it while you can. Older stuff is getting more difficult to come by for reasonable prices. Some stuff I can’t even find anymore. I’ve been buying up as many westerns as I can and am still missing a fair few. Open Range being one of them. Seems the Blu Ray stopped being produced.

I lost the itch to buy the hard copy stuff and now I'm getting it again. I was going during the summer by playing them all chronologically but I burnt myself out. I might start back up tomorrow. I think I was on KOF 2003.

I told my wife to get me this for my birthday. I saw some videos on it and it's got glowing reviews. They also send you a PDF version of it.

After mulling it for nearly a year now, I started buying up the limited run boxes of the games. I won Mark of the Wolves for only $41 since no one bid, and I ordered 97. It was $148 but it's the rarest of the sets out there since it was literally the first one the SNK line. It's getting scarce on eBay.

I had bought KOF98 this past Monday and the guy told me he would ship it Thursday. Then he gets a label ready the next day and by Friday night there's no update. I questioned him on it and he just up and refunds me.

Don't list shit if you're going to be a lazy fuck. Luckily, I was able to leave him negative feedback. I haven't had to do that in like ten years.

Yeah, I’m dealing with that right now from a guy I bought two replacement GBA SP screens from. I bought it last Saturday and several messages have been exchanged since then and still no tracking update. When I sell something, it’s at the post office literally the very next business day. I think one time I may have had to wait an extra day for some reason.

If there's some type of issue when I was selling, I immediately let the buyer know and keep them in the loop. Just ignoring me and cancelling is some really shitty shit. He had perfect feedback. But not anymore.

So I got the refund for the game and I bid on an auction I ended up winning and got it for over $20 cheaper and it's $60 cheaper than Amazon who I was going to go with incase I lost it.

Communication would have gone a long way in this situation. All he had to do was let you know what was up.

I didn't hand that out lightly. I don't remember the last time I gave a negative.

He didn't communicate at all with me. Waited nearly a week to ship and then upped and cancelled. Fuck him and his rating.

KOF98 auction I won was already shipped within a day and I ordered KOF Orochi Collection and that had a tracking number immediately.

BTW I don't like this shit eBay switched up with making offers, where if they accept they just yank the money from your account.

It’s because merchants were going in and accepting and the buyers were never logging back in to pay. I guarantee you that’s why.

It used to be set up where you had a minimum that you would accept as a seller and if someone offered in that price range, the system would automatically accept their offer for you and the buyer could pay right then and there. Generally speaking, the rule of thumb was a 10, 15 or even 20% reduction.

So the one game I bought Monday, now it's another jerk off dragging their feet to ship it out. I hate Amazon but at least shit goes out immediately.

I had to chase the other guy I had bought from and he finally shipped it last night. I don't know what it is with these sellers anymore waiting four days or more.

I’ve gotten to the point where I usually won’t say anything until the next week. I’ve tried to get away from eBay as much as possible, but it’s difficult to find things at other sites you can trust.

I kinda splurged and bought both the Euro collectors editions of both KOF14 and 15. They come in those Neo Geo shockboxes and come with a bunch of goodies in them. I'm probably going to leave them shrink wrapped but probably open them at some point. The videos I've seen, they have some pretty nice artbooks for something that comes with a game. I believe both runs were only limited to 1,500 units that are produced by a company in France. They were pretty scarce on eBay with less than half a dozen for each. And half the listed for 15 are for the PS5 version which idc about.

So far I have the Limited Run Games of KOF 97, 98, Orochi Collection and Garou: Mark of the Wolves.

I just need KOF 00 and 02.

I do plan on getting the LRG of Art of Fighting and Fatal Fury later in the year.

I have a fairly decent amount of the games and crossovers and some of the movies and a couple of Mai figures—but I was never terribly big into KOF. It was mostly just something to pass the time between Capcom releases.

I didn't really get into it until a year ago where I downloaded the roms and went through the whole series up until KOF 11.

I prefer it to SF since KOF never drastically changed from what it was from both gameplay and presentation. Although since KOF 14 it went 3D, yet it still "feels" like a 2D fighter.

I've hated what SF became since SF4. And 6 is going hard on the rap bullshit, so that's a no from me, dawg.

I didn't even know of KOF until I played Capcom vs SNK 2. Playing that now, the KOF side of the roster is should've been done way differently. They have all the main characters but the secondary character choices are ass.
