In the movies Falcon was Roger's friend for less than an hour of screen time.

Still, most people were fine with it. And yet we're getting the SJW angle anyway...

He was held to a stricter set of standards by the public, and the writers had him focus on different issues. One of the main issues was police brutality against African-Americans.

Not saying the story was good, but it's how they dealt with him as Captain America so, again, it shouldn't be any surprise that they're doing it in the tv show.

Yes, for sure. MCU Bucky is extremely underdeveloped for such an important part of Captain America's title. Again, post "Winter Soldier" MCU is a clusterfuck of bad plots and wasted characters.

Because that's modern writing. Aka "I'm not interested in adventures with subtle undertones and themes anymore so I'll write this simple-minded one-sided trash for everyone to read." Just because those comics were shit doesn't mean live action adaptation should be as well.

Still, I'd rather watch the hero taking on the bad guys. Not dealing with yet more whitey hating on blacky. We need move on from those tropes.

Marvel has definitely lost the subtlety they used to have regarding real world issues in their comics. Now they beat everyone over the head with what they’re trying to say. They have even less opportunity for proper build-up in a two-hour movie so of course they choose the in-your-face option. Look at the stupid girl power moment in Endgame or the Captain Marvel movie as a whole. I still haven’t finished Black Panther because it was so predictable and “woke”.

I remember someone talking about how they had literally described and explained every single aspect of each character’s race and nationality, on one of the comic panels in some comic issue, a while back. I’m pretty sure I remember it being Marvel too.

Great. It's going to be boring, preachy, predictable and fundamentally false. Just like that amazon show, Carnival Row, all these "issues" portrayed in SJW art happen to be the exact inversion of the real life issues. Funny how that works, but I gotta give credit to the SJWs for showing their hand and making the work of the competition easier.

Please Disney do not deviate from this path of self destruction, the demand for better things has been noticed and a lot of people are trying to fill the void already. This is going to be interesting

I mean, it's useless to even talk about these issues after that ridiculous outcry from idiots who wanted Asian actor to play Danny Rand... I'm just glad Luke Cage got canned along with the rest. Wouldn't want it to be a part of this "new" direction.
