I would suggest not to, it still follows ST Discovery's bullshit and the JJ Timeline. You can watch the first episode free on youtube though. However they gave the Romulans a Borg Cube to "eradicate" Earth. Kurtzman is a hack... he basically gave Star Trek a Death Star now...

Borg cubes became overused and lost their effectiveness as a narrative threat.

Since this is the Prime Universe the planet Vulcan should still exist. They'll probably screw that up.

Picard you know from STNG is not same Picard you see here that's all I know. Mainly because they have negated all events that came before. Like profanity... It almost makes me wish that John De Lancie would come back at the final aired episode as Q and tell Picard off again.
