I'm interested just because Batman, that's....really it. If it was anything else, I wouldn't care. A live action Penguin since the 90s, yeah, I like that. I'd love to see a Dafoe Joker too, a lot of people have expressed interest after No WAy Home.

ASM3 would be a hard call with either before or after No Way Home. They'd have to reference that film, and we don't know how that would work. You could also argue that a pre-NWH film would have to give some explanation why that villain didn't come up in the film at all since only both Harry Osborns and Venom didn't come back I think. If I have that right...that does create a problem.

I think the fact that he hadn't done much after Gwen's death actually works a bit, almost like a 'everything lost meaning after Gwen'. At most, he'd have to deal with Harry and Rhino.

I’ll pass on The Batman. I’d definitely be all for some more Spider-Man stuff, within reason.

Same. I wonder what would happen next? I imagine college may not be a focus since Peter had a GED book. What is he even doing for income?

As long as we get more Andrew Garfield Spider-Man shit, I don’t care what else they do. Hell, I’d take more Tobey films too.

We seriously need confirmation instead of just rumors on what's going on with those two. I don't quite see a 4th Tobey film happening, particularly if they do the original intended storyline of Bruce Campbell as Mysterio. I would not be opposed to anything however.

Well, this was exactly what I thought it's gonna be. Tries way too hard to have all the stuff in one film so pretty much everything ends up being mediocre. Felt like I was watching two movies in one sitting so by the end of the second one I already forgot what the first one was about. There's just too much crap to proccess and almost none of it takes itself seriously or get enough development so that I could actually care.

It could have been better, but I actually liked it simply for the fact that anything Andrew Garfield is in has to be decent. And his Spider-Man is still my favorite. None of the films have been as bad as Spider-Man 3. I don’t even think it’s possible. That film is a literal giant meme.

MCU films are very generic, have a lot of useless padding, waste time with unfunny gags and improv which takes me out of it every time. I'd watch SM3 over "Home" ones anyday, at the very least it feels like an actual movie and has Raimi handwriting all over it (especially with gags).

I don't think SM3 was ever really that bad. Just very noticeably more flawed then the previous 2 Raimi films.
TASM 2 is bad. Not overly bad, but just bad and its rightfully the worst reviewed Spider-Man film.
I still really like No Way Home, but I can so see where a lot goes wrong or went rather.

There are more things to hate about Spider-Man 3 than anything in ASM2. I only really dislike the villain designs in ASM2 and that’s basically it.

SM3 is a cinematic masterpiece in comparison to TASM2.

*I don't always agree with this guy but he sums it up very well*

I know that film gets a lot of hate, but my only issue with both Amazing Spider-Man films were the villains. The lizard man motive was just stupid and the designs for the villains in ASM2 were a bit of a joke.

I cannot watch SM3 with a straight face. It has spawned so many memes it’s beyond unwatchable at this point for me, as a big Spidey fan.

SM3 even without the memes has some merits. The sandman introduction, with no dialogue, is a great scene with how its done. The fight scenes work pretty well, and I think it had some good ideas but the hype got to it. Nostalgia Critic explains it pretty well.
TBH, the Raimi trilogy has spawned so many memes but it is not just SM3.

ASM 2's problems can be summed up as this: It was obvious they didn't learn from SM3's issues. Too many villains and sub plots but nothing actually brought it all together unlike SM3 which was built up prior; some of the ASM 2 plot was totally new or...redundant, or missed. Besides the Peter-Gwen dynamic, which is still good to watch and actually cute, there was a lot that didn't work. And whatever ASM 2 did new...was usually in the work of franchising I felt, like doing the Sinister Six stuff.

I do not hate the film though because most performances are good, action works, Garfield is still a great Spider-Man on his own terms, and I can tell it was mainly Sony AGAIN fucking them over. Calling any of the Spider-Man films the worst isn't as bad as it is with something like Star Wars, where there are so many and MANY of them are divisive on their own. No Spider-Man movie ever got below I think a 7.5-8/10 I think except for ASM 2.
