Played the demo.

Character animations are horribly outdated and lazy.
Robo motions in "cutscenes" are completely wrong and look bad.
Typical UE5 issues.

Shooter arcade segments are ok but kinda boring.
Auto-9 sounds nothing like the original but it's most likely a license issue.
A bit too much freedom to explore sandbox section, which wasn't all that interesting.

Love the idea of Police Station being your hub were you "relax", do mini-quests, interact with other cops and characters.
Love the sidequests! Even if simple, they add a lot to the atmosphere and make the whole thing feel less videogamey.
The skill system is interesting and seems like a step up from their "Terminator" game.
Peter Weller's voice is a nostalgia injection straight into my heart... ❤️

Overall, mixed feelings about this one...
I'm interested but not enough to preorder.

Watched about ten minutes of it and knew I would only get this if it were on sale. Otherwise, nope.

Played Steam Demo:

Pros:
Level to Level based system similar to Deus Ex Human Revolution (Snake has been saying we need to cut the sandbox bs out)
OG Voice Actors except for the Chief of Police
Does feel like late 80's Robocop, no woke inserts or current day hidden in beginning

Mids:
Health is done by picking up OCP revival kits that repair armor. Honestly the upgrade points would probably make you film accurate to being invincible. However I can see what they were going for, but I think baby food would have been better choice than a random repair kit in some of Old Detroit areas. Breaks immersion, meanwhile a homeless guy or backroom with baby food would be better since it is lore. But game should keep your armor looking damaged till you get re-fitted at OCP Station.

Cons:
Animations on people seem 2009, it's lip sync and motions. Talking is like watching a Godzilla film with English Dub, you can tell
Reused assets in background npcs. They kinda look the same cop to cop, citizen to citizen
Death animations and cues are same voice lines, really nothing special in rag doll physics
No Crouch, we know he can. He got up from crouched position being shot at cops outside OCP building in RBC1
Climbing ladders, this took me back because he's not that flexible as his current design
Ladder climbing doesn't show arms or legs refer to above as to why devs probably left out
Aim assist is just a person tracker, does not aim bot like in movie, you do have to manual aim (Probably be to OP game wise)
Aiming down sights with Rifles, looks weird because he's supposed to have a aim assist (Probably to help with above)
Anne Lewis hair is Blonde, like TOO Blonde. She needs to be Dirty Blonde (Hope Mod Support to change color)
As RIDDICK said, needs correct Auto-9 sound (Again needs Mod)
Auto-9 needs to have non-unlimited ammo. The game forces you to pick up new weapons. It should be natural to have 3 mags Auto-9 then pick up a criminal gun for survival (Needs Mod to make that)

Biggest CON, Pre-Order Exclusive is the Robocop 2 Skin. Some bs, because again Mod will make better.

Not sure if they will add elements of Robocop 3 Arm Gun, Demo doesn't go that far.

Take what you will, giving Demo 7.5/10 for now until full game playthrough. I'll go lower if it's repetitive.

I've read/seen some content that was taken from demo's game files.
Heavy spoiler warning!!!

There will be non-human enemies that look like Robo2 prototypes.
There will be at least several Ed-209 encounters.
Final boss is Old Man that dies and gets put into Robocop 2 chassis against his will.
There are three endings, depend on what you do with the Old Man after beating him.

I'm actually excited!
Yes, it sounds trashy but way more fun than what I expected.

I’ve heard about the woke shit being in the game, but honestly haven’t had the time to bother looking into it. What exactly did they put in it? And I also hear it was removed now? If that’s even true.

Frankly, what little I’ve seen of the game seems like more of the same, but with better traversal mechanics than the first? I loved the first game though. It’s still up there with Spider-Man 2, Web of Shadows and Amazing Spider-Man 1 as the best of all the Spider-Man games.

Can’t say I like some of the deviations to lore and characters though. Which is a shame, because I’ve just recently read that the Wolverine game will share the same universe and will have the same problems due to that fact.

I’ve also heard a weird rumbling that this Miles Morales will jump universes into the 616 MCU universe at some point, when the multiverse shit really comes to a head. Which is going to be odd now that they’ve flat out remodeled Peter Parker in this game to resemble Tom Holland, which was a fucking mistake in my opinion.

Anyway, as for the Robocop game, it seems like a solid 7 or 8, depending on how much you like the franchise. Can’t say I’m the biggest Robocop fan anymore. Still like the first two films, but it’s really not something I couldn’t live without. The same is becoming true of Ghostbusters too.
