I don’t trust forum members any more than I trust Facebook members. In fact, the deal I had with Snake, some time back, was the first one in… god knows how long. Ten years, I’d bet.

Definitely make sure to cover your ass, when dealing with anyone not tied to a service like ebay or Amazon.
I think scamming got way worse, because back when we used the old forum, most of my deals were fine. There was one time I got scammed, but I wasn't the only one and the guy was pathetic. It was Christmas, so he messed up very badly with his finances so he wanted to unload some DBZ Figuarts to help afford things (not necessities) for himself and his kids. He relented and refused to me and others after realizing he paid way more and could have gotten more on eBay, trying to say 'my kids come first!!! please forgive me!!!'. Dave fucking laughed at the dude when I told him. He tried to say it wasn't scamming, just that he couldn't honor the deal but since he held off for so long....well, no. It is scamming.
Recently, some people kept insisting I send money to them for the Premium Format Uncharted to 'their wives', and that it's via Friends and Family. Because they can't get it normally via their emails. They also insist on confirming and endless screen shots. Got my money back but it took so long....
I got scammed once on Facebook recently, but it was for a very minimal amount of money. How petty and pathetic do you have to be? I've had better luck since then since I did it in official groups with moderators/admins and people who can act as a middle man of sorts.
After getting screwed out of a little bit of money, whenever I send shit I take tons of photos to guarantee everything is in the box and always buy insurance.
I remember seeing why this was done, and I've had to do it too. I think most people claim damage and inconsistencies with what you said, so they tried getting part or all their money back right? Beyond that, some people tried going for 'a return', and would just send something else with the label. Literal theft, mainly was eBay. For me, I just had people who underestimated shit and tried to do it to me but they were new members (different places )so people regarded them as noobs.
The sheer amount of people looking to get free shit or scam someone out of their stuff… it’s disgusting. Have to agree with something my dad told me the first time I got scammed out of $120 on eBay fifteen years ago. “They’re lucky we don’t show up to their house and beat the door down.” He elaborated further, but you get the gist.
And the excuses too. Entitlement up the ass. It's funny how they put no effort into scamming sometimes too.
Onesixkit sent my an invoice for the 1/12 Ada kit last night. Hope LIMTOYS Leon doesn't get delayed now🤞
Reminds me that I need to consider some of these lol

Certain outfits work in 1/12 scale. Not many though. The Mezco Hellboy from the most recent film is fairly good.

Most Mezco clothes look ridiculous. They might be getting better, but I really couldn’t tell you. The only interest I’ve ever had in them was the two Hellboy 2019 figures and the soon to be released Predator.
