Update 10/02/2021 – We were actually able to find a casting call for Skulls that included these character details. Originally posted as an open casting call on the 8th of January 2020 on the Tribal Film Festival Facebook page, the character details are a little different though. In this casting call Kee is actually the older of the pair.

KEE Female; 19 years old; Comanche. Her name, “Kee”, means “no” in Comanche. A name she has earned by perpetually refusing to do as she is told her entire life. Kee is very close to her younger brother, Taabe, who is being groomed as a leader. As capable as any young man in the tribe, Kee has always been a teacher and source of inspiration for Taabe. In the Comanche way – she is “Patsi” – the elder sister that has helped to shape him. Kee is a truth teller and has insight that others do not. A tomboy, she wants to prove herself in the masculine world of the Comanche. When danger threatens them all – Kee sets out to prove that she is as capable as any young warrior.

TAABE Male; 17 years old (seeking 18 to play younger); Comanche. Taabe’s name means “Sun”, like the star in the sky – which lets you know the tribe’s expectations for him – he is being groomed to be a Chief one day. Having relied on the council of his older sister, Kee, his “Patsi” for his entire life. Taabe has just had a taste of success in one of his first big hunts. As he is coming of age and fresh off of his first triumph, he feels that he’s now a leader/in charge and no longer needs Kee – which causes the first rift in their very close relationship.

Given the age of the casting call on Tribal Film Festival, it’s possible these details may have changed and the information Murphys Multiverse has shared is from an updated call. Thanks to AvP Galaxy staffer VoodooMagic for finding this!

It’s been a little while since we heard anything regarding Dan Trachtenberg’s upcoming Predator 5 aka Skulls. There’s been no official plot announcement, but based on what AvP Galaxy exclusively learned and what we’ve put together regarding the project, we know the film is a period piece focusing around Native Americans. Now, according to Murphys Multiverse, they have some exclusive details on some of the film’s main characters.

Let’s start with our rebellious girl, whose name Kee means “no”. They are looking for a 15-year-old to take on the role of a rebellious Comanche teen. She has a close relationship with her brother. He is our second lead, the 18-year old Taabe, whose name means “sun”. Kee is a truth-teller who sees what others don’t, as she guides her brother, who is expected to become Chief one day. After a successful hunt, he believes he has come of age and no longer requires his sister’s help, which creates a rift between them. She decides to set out and prove that she is just as capable as the others. She aims to defy the rules set by the masculine world of the Comanche.

I wish this movie sounded like it could be good, but it sounds like garbage, is this going to end with a 15 year old girl killing a Predator? I sense the fishy stench of feminism coming from this movie, they didn't have to insert an agenda, but they do, and they will, because this is the only thing that Hollywood is capable of, creating garbage that serves as poison for the mind and the spirit. The yautja can't catch a break

A stupid little girl that says NO to everything and thinks she knows better than the adults is the main character of a Predator movie... Somehow this little brat, who already sounds annoying as fuck, is a mentor to her older brother; a guy that is meant to lead the entire tribe some day

And when her brother mans up she, like the annoying little shit she is, decides to go her own way to prove she's as good or better than her brother, and yes probably ends up killing a Yautja on her own

It's impressive how they managed to make a story that sounds worse than The Predator

At this point the story in these films don’t even matter. They’re just trying to sell toys. Which is odd, because Hot Toys clearly doesn’t want anything to do with the property anymore. It’s mostly Neca.

Howard Chan is and will always be a fan, he made a prototype of the Fugitive all for himself after all. It all depends on the reception of the movie and if they feel they can get something out of it. The Predator was cancer and this looks like it'll be easily worse

I do expect Neca to be all over it, they never miss a chance to make anything about Predator even if its shit

Which is fine. It’s cheap to make. Hot Toys won’t even take a risk and redo the most popular Predator though.

It wouldn't be risky to revisit the first one, and even though they got poisoned with Disney properties we still get the occasional Alita and Hellboy, unique figures that are actually fucking great. I won't hold my breath but I do expect them to revisit more classic licenses in the future

I’m tempted to pick up the Hellboy figure, but I already have the regular Mezco and the PX exclusive on order. And just like the SooSoo Rorschach figure, it wouldn’t really fit in with any of my 1/6 scale collection, at present.

Well I think Hellboy is a great stand alone figure. I guess it'd look good next to anything that looks like fantasy or I any character that has a sword, as long as it's not a lightsaber...

I didn't get it because I don't like it that much but it is one of the best they have released in the last 12 months

The only way I could squeeze him into my displays would be if I put him with The Crow, which would then throw off the display I have Eric Draven in.

“The story will follow Kee, a Comanche woman who goes against gender norms and traditions to become a warrior. Many years ago – in a time before any Europeans had ever encroached on their lands – the Comanche people had a well defined society and gender norms. Kee is very close to her younger brother, Taabe, who is being groomed as a leader. As capable as any young man in the tribe, Kee has always been a teacher and source of inspiration for Taabe. In the Comanche way – she is Patsi – the elder sister that has helped to shape him. Kee is a truth teller and has insight that others do not. This is something that keeps me from starting an AVP collection, even though the figures look better than the predators in the movie they still look terrible, I always hated the changes Anderson made to their faces since I saw the movie in the theater. The saggy mouth and the baby eyes ruined the immersion for me.

The only ones that look good as far as I'm concerned are, the original, city hunter and the lost predators. Everything after that looks like trash, I'm looking forward to see if they find a new way to ruin the predator's face in this new movie

According to the Local 212 chapter of the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE), this new Predator film is currently in pre-production, and slated to begin filming on the 31st of May with an end date of the 13th of August!

Now it’s also noteworthy that Alec Gillis, co-owner of Amalgamated Dynamics, Inc. has currently revealed on his Instagram page that Studio ADI is currently “looking for mechanics, fabricators, hair/fur, mold makers, sculptors, seaming and more” for current and upcoming projects.

Considering Studio ADI has done Predator work in the past for “Alien vs. Predator”, “Alien vs Predator Requiem” and “The Predator”, could this call for new workers be in any way connected to the upcoming production of “Skulls”?

Studio ADI... not particularly excited about that

While I liked the original AvP (the acting was campy at times), Requiem was pretty damn meh (Wolf was cool though) and “The Predator” is a sadistically grueling dogshit of a film. It’s worse than Whedon’s Justice League and Transformers: The Last Knight... two of the absolute worst blockbuster films I’ve ever seen.

I agree but my concern has nothing to do with the story in those movies it's more about this studio turning the predator's mouth into a stretched out butthole. Now, to be fair I assume they just do what they are told and the director privides the final approval so I hope they don't ruin the creature's design too much this time.

It was all downhill after Predator 2

They’ve all looked fairly bland, next to the Jungle and City Hunter. And I don’t even like the City Hunter’s design that much. He was always my least favorite. The unmasked face on the two original Predators are remarkably impressive though.

Jim and John Thomas, the brothers who wrote the 1987 action film Predator, have filed a lawsuit against Disney seeking confirmation of successfully recapturing rights to the franchise. Meanwhile, Disney's 20th Century unit has filed its own suit against the Thomas brothers with the goal of retaining rights.

The Thomas brothers are seeking to exploit copyright law's termination provision, which allows authors to cancel transfers after waiting a period of time, typically 35 years for newer works. Given the time frame, studios are facing the prospect of losing franchise rights to many iconic works from the 1980s.
I can only hope they are able to stick it to the devil rat and regain rights to their creation

I hope they get the rights back and then finally let the franchise die with some dignity.
