Kinda neat. But I still wouldn't buy until after I see some reviews since I'm quite put off with everything else.


I give you exhibit A of why I hate this.


This is the worst design for a ninja since Shredder Sub-Zero. He looks like Azrael from Arkham. Why people are losing their shit over this Twitch streamer game is beyond me. I think MK as a whole as gotten even more obnoxious than Street Fighter.

I’m too old for fighting games honestly. I still like to play the Dragon Ball games and Dead it Alive—and I do still enjoy Street Fighter. It’s rare for any other fighter to really pull me in for a purchase. I only got the last Mortal Kombat because it had the Predator and the Alien.

If Shang Tsung has MK movie skin then I, for the first time in my life, will buy the game and DLC at full price.

So after seeing the new ‘story’ trailer where they fight past versions of themselves, it seems they completely stopped trying and this is in fact just injustice 3.

They've stopped trying starting with MKvsDC. MK9 had garbage story. MKX was slightly better.
I'm not even interested in story modes of any fighting game, they're always pure cringe.
Gameplay is the only thing that matters. And it looks like MK11 may deliver on that.

It's so the truth that it's become distracting.

I mean... Ok, Warner Bros. are stupid assholes who saw how much better Inj2 sells in comparison to MKX and said "Hey, NetherRealm, make your next MK look and feel the same so that those who liked Inj would be interested." Still, it makes no sense to make both franchises samey - in a long run people will get tired of both quicker and sales will drop harder.

And they eat this shit up. And I thought the last couple games were overdesigned diarrhea. There's no consistency at all. Nobody has at least the same face and build. I feel you can never connect with any of these people since they're rebooted every game.

Tekken has been pretty solid for almost two decades on what the characters look like. At least the main characters I can think of off the top of my head.

Sub-Zero was White in the last one, now he's Asian.

I actually liked the last game. I can’t remember much of MK9, but it was decent from what I recall.

The last one probably had the best execution of a plot in the series, not that the bar was very high in the series but it was the best attempt at conveying it.

MK9 while I only like since it's set in the 90s era... should of just been a reboot without the time traveling Raiden bullshit.

MKX I didn't like much because every fight was pointless. Almost every cutscene was walk into an area, then have a fight for some contrived reason. I actually thought MK9 did a better job at setting up every fight, though I could see why the time travel thing would bug people.

I also hated MKX's aesthetics... they just bored me. This turns that up to 11, race changes people for whatever reason, and desexualizes all the female characters.

But yeah, lets see them rip a body in half with all the appropriate blood/gore and brain matter and shit, that's fine.
