I just checked my Youtube statistics. I've gotten nearly 16k in views in the last month. I'm just about to break 700 subs. I wonder if I can finally get monetized this year. I'm not assuming I'll end up a stay at home Youtuber. I'd just like to make enough that buying shit wouldn't be that difficult. It's more for a collecting fund than anything else.

You’re definitely getting close! I see your vids pop up in my feed sometimes before I even have a chance to see your forum posts.

If I had to offer any advice to help shoot you further, I would say start showing the packaging off at the beginning of the video. And possibly trim out the parts about price? Usually people just throw that information in the description (and where to buy, with links) or they mention it in the video so fast that I don’t even notice it.

Don't have the slightest idea. big channels out there with 500k or more can make well north of 100k a year. Million plus view count on a video can get you a few thousand I believe.

I only have a quarter million views overall with my highest viewed video approaching 10k.

It used to be far easier to become a partner. I would just want to get to the point that I can make a little money that would pay for collecting, I'm not expecting to get anymore than that.

The way I see it.. ANYTHING a person can make from something they're already doing is cool. Again, that's why I'm amazed by it. Because regardless, people are still gonna make videos for YT.

Me and my buddy Mike already looked into this last year when he applied for monetization. You make $0.001 cents per view... PER VIEW... which means if you have 2,000 subs and 2,000 views you made $2. Now if you are a big channel like mentioned above a 500k sub channel usually nets 35k views, about $35. And if you notice people like The Quartering who do 2-3 videos a day that's $105 a day. Now times that by 365 days that's $35,000 a year. It's twice the Salary of working at McDonald's, however if you have a job and are able to pull off videos at same time. Your annual income of say $40k with $35k a year, you'd be a millionaire like Pewdiepie in 10 years. That and with sponsorships making extra dough by endorsing Glee non-shave gel. Though with how youtube has been censoring people like you get demonetized for mentioning Covid-19 but Media doesn't, endorsing celebs more than creators... yeah it's getting worse to be a internet superstar.
