Like seriously, I will state again... Why should I spend thousands on 1 dinosaur, when Mattel made a 2 FOOT Brachiosaurus for $50...

I cant stand the logic behind it either of a statue that's $5k, it's bad enough statue collectors who spend $500-600 get a chipped piece or bad paint. Imagine telling Chronicle hey my Rex has bad paint? Chronicle's response going to be same as Sideshow? Take a hammer to 5 foot polystone Rex?

From all the final product photos I've seen, Chronicle pieces are not what the money. I originally preordered the Breakout Rex years ago but canceled when some of the first in hand pics appeared. Very lackluster paint jobs, not worth the hundreds they charge.

I'll give Chronicle one more chance with the 1/6 Grant, but even then I think I should wait until a final product pic surfaces.

Also, that W Dragon Rex has a better paint job than that $5k Rex lol.

Yes it does. I was going to get their breakout Rex but then it was shown how awfully bland the paint was. $500 saved. I don't know how they stay in business. Their sculptors and painters are garbage.

I can't wait to see how awful Grant and the Raptor turn out.

Well fuck a duck... that explains the HORRIBLE retooling to the neck area of the Jurassic Park version. They sacrificed quality for quantity. Apparently they got license for Blue and instead of making a new sculpt mold, they sliced the damn head off to replace either Big Ones or Blues head on same body. That's just a freaking shame.

I went to a dino museum last month and I thought it was a lot of fun and I plan on going back next week. The Rex in person is such a sight to behold. While not quite as big as it is in films, it undoubtedly could still do this.

A rhino probably has the strength to flip a car, so a full grown Rex certainly could.

That's a good point. They believe Rex could of been anywhere between ten to thirty thousand pounds.

Always impressive to see a Tyrannosaur. Last year I went to a museum in Florida that had a full Giganotosaurus, pretty cool since I had never seen one in person before. It was a pretty cramped place so I couldn't get the kind of pictures I wanted, unfortunately.

There was a Giga at my museum years ago but I was far too late to see it. I only know about it since they have a sign for it but never removed it.
