It was interesting up until the middlepoint, when you think that all of it was building to an amazing payoff. But no, it goes on and on and on... and then it just ends. I don't know why they've decided to call it "Godzilla" considering how little of him is there and how unimportant he is to the narrative. Hearing Ifukube's classic theme felt like an insult as well.

This is twice Netflix collab has fell short as a Godzilla anime. I'd rather the anime be very Gundam style where it's some new mech battling Godzilla each episode in a will of human survival. Just sad nor foresight.

Yeah, when they've annonced the whole anime thing back in 2016 I was expecting an episodic show with regular cast. It's a nobrainer for any fan of the franchise. Unfortunately, TOHO went full greedy retard with their desire to appeal to a modern audience.
