Yeah, my sole reason for playing this game was to play as the Red Hood and they fucking humanized him. This dude was mentally and physically tortured by the Joker and left for dead by his mentor. That fucks you up pretty much for life, if you aren’t already fucked in the head like Batman.

And then, to top things off, in this game he is revived with the Lazarus Pitt. That alone makes virtually anyone crazy. It’s not noticeable at first, but eventually insanity creeps through the door. And it’s worse if you continually use the pit.

He should be so standoffish to the other characters that he’s almost one disagreement away from turning on them. Maybe Red Hood wasn’t a good idea for a fourth character. This game reeks of mediocrity, social political ideology and CW nonsense.

As much as I hated the idea of Arkham Knight being Red Hood, I will still give Rock Steady credit for getting him right because I KNEW it was him rather early on and I was concerned after 'the reveal', he'd be laughable. He felt so wrong in previews while everyone else seemed 'ok'.

I thought Red Hood was revived with the Lazarus Pitt in the comics? As a fucking TEEN he got wrecked by Joker with a crow bar and blown up. You pretty much have to use the Lazarus Pit. I know Arkham Knight explained Red Hood survived due to his armor and Joker not checking (or lying even...) after shooting Hood, so no pit needed. Red Hood being not so hostile to Harley is even weirder...people say he feels for her and I can see that in the performance but WHY?

Man I hope this helps people realize Arkham Knight was a pretty good game now and appreciate it better...it's baffling how this doesn't compare even graphically.

The bike actually moves slowly than BAK's batmobile so they had to force this camera angle and add speed-lines to make it "feel" faster. It's an old trick which only really works in cinema and cartoons.

It looks so bad lol. Cartoons though, ironic since the cartoons always got the speed of the Bat vehicles fine. Also the way they react is just bad.

Jason Todd was Jokerized, wasn’t he? I don’t think he was ever actually killed in the comics. Maybe later on in the storyline? But I never read about that. Jason Todd was already batshit insane. He’s a fully unhinged Frank Castle. And he was trained by Batman and taught brutality by the Joker.

So, imagine someone like that coming out of the Lazarus Pitt even just once. Their mind would deteriorate even further. Maybe not as much initially, because they’re already insane and it’s a slow process at first anyway. There’s no way to humanize a character like that.

Jason Todd was not Jokerized, no. He just died and came back to life via comic bullshit - apparently Superboy affected reality but I don't get it. However, when Jason came back to life (by crawling out of his grave which will have a lot of ramifications...), he was still brutalized so Talia threw him into the Lazarus Pit and resulted in exactly what you expect.

I have...no idea. The Batman Who Laughs technically was jokerized but I don't understand ANYTHING about him. How he came to be (which is the only thing I can follow), his universe, his story, his abilities.

Tim Drake was Jokerized in the Batman Beyond show too, and was tortured brutally. He wasn't going to die though.

Speaking of which, remember when RE5 came out and they had to add Sheva as a partner and a bunch of random ass people who don’t fit the region? All to avoid the “white guy killing black people” bullshit.

I've watched some pre-release videos and it's funny how you can tell Capcom is trying to say 'we had Sheva planned all along but didn't want to reveal her!!!' except we know damn well she wasn't planned. At most I can see Sheva's actress not being aware but everyone else oh no, they knew. The fact that Sheva's entire character is such an after thought made it so clear as well and how it was clearly 100% Chris focused. Even Jake, Krauser, and Josh were more memorable individually. Tbh on some level I don't blame Capcom
