Nope. We never get a break. And they are milking the PBandai stuff way too hard. The prices are always higher than retail on there. The shipping and tax can easily make a figure go from $60 to $80 dollars.

Don’t get me wrong. I believe PBandai is a good thing. Figures that wouldn’t otherwise get made, or more easily offered to us, have a home there. But look at the current roster and tell me which of those figures would have been difficult to sell at retailers? Bulma? The Ginyu Force? Zamasu? Okay, then why did Launch sell out on BBTS?

And then, for something like the Great Ape Vegeta, it will sit there and linger until retailers finally have a sale. Whereas, it would’ve come and gone, had it been made to order on PBandai. Their way of thinking is so fucked.

Tell me about it. Even with what little they put out at retailers, they’re still pumping out twelve or so other figures. And you’re fucked if you collect any of their other lines.

See, the Ginyu Force being on PBandai made sense to me. I originally wasn’t going to even get them. The prices weren’t too bad though and I figured I could always just sell them later, if I didn’t end up wanting them in the display.

However, they’re at the point that they really are just abusing PBandai now. And, quite frankly, you can just about predict what will and what won’t show up there.

Omega Shenron will be a PBandai exclusive. Almost sure Porunga will be too. ToP Tien and Master Roshi will most likely also be thrown up there. Also, pretty sure the Cell Saga Yamcha will be on there, since Tien was.

If they make Android 19 and 20, they will end up being retail figures, just because I think the Tien and Yamcha will have sold well enough. Hopefully Imperfect Cell and 2.0 Krillin aren’t PBandai.

I just did a rough estimate on what my collection would be worth if I went through and sold all of it. If I sold it today, I would get back around 18 grand. Jesus Christ. I’m accounting for as many duplicates as I can possibly remember and I’m even knocking down the PBandai exclusives to a more reasonable level.

I’m really tempted to sell off the bulk of my collection. I’ll never get to a point with Figuarts where I feel I have a complete collection.

However, when it comes to the Banpresto stuff, I have almost 80 of them and I’m really only waiting on Bandai to make a Hit and Beerus that’s somewhat in scale with some of the Banpresto lines.

It’s been gnawing at me since they announced the recolors, but now that they’ve thrown up yet more PBandai stuff back to back, I just kind of want a break from the line. I could sell off non-essential characters, the entire DB original line and every single duplicate figure. I’d certainly make a fat chunk of change. It’s a lot of work selling all of that though.

I just ordered Hit off eBay. I made a $200 art commission so that paid for that and I still have $80 left over to go toward the exclusives Thursday.

None of the exclusives interest me much, outside of the SSG Goku. And that’s mostly because I only have the one original figure. I never managed to pick up a second.

I’d like to get Android 17, but I really don’t want to be left feeling like I need Android 18 afterwards.

What did you sell? I know the day will come when I unload almost all of my Marvel stuff. I’ll keep the majority of Dragon Ball, Star Wars and Batman stuff. Everything else is in jeopardy of going. Maybe not the Predator collection though.
