I haven't played it for a few days. I really didn't think I'd get bored of it that quickly. I still think overall it's a worse sequel than DMC4 for very different reasons. The main reason being the set pieces are terrible in V and unmemorable. Nero is another case, but I don't believe he's the worst aggressor in it.

Just make the whole game Dante... we've wanted it for almost 15 years now since DMC3.

I went back and started replaying the first game, DMC3, DMC4 and DmC. I’m not sure if DMC3 and 4 always had a lock-on feature where you had to hold down the bumpers, but it sucks not having the option, something the reboot apparently actually does.

One thing I didn’t remember correctly was the evading mechanics. In DMC3 and 4 both it has the same jump forward and backward evade system. It’s certainly not the norm in a lot of action games. I completely forgot that it existed before DMCV, but I’m sure I complained about it back in the day.

DmC is next to impossible to play, once you get accustomed to the controls for DMC3, 4 and 5. It’s a very uniquely tailored control scheme, which is probably why this game threw me off so much at first. I did play DmC twice through and most of my expectations likely stemmed from it.

Nero still fucking sucks early on though, holy god. When I got to the part where you finally fucking get to play as Dante, I was right at home. I’m glad they kind of resolve the whole Nero issue by the end, but damn... I’ll probably never like him as much as I did in DMC4 ever again.

All was forgiven in DmC because of the awesome art design. It's my least favorite to actually play out of the bunch, but I loved the world and designs. Minus Vergil's fedora of hipness of course.

Honestly, I loved it. Definitely feels like a love letter to fans with lots of fan service but I don't see any issue with that. As I said it's like DMC1 and DMC3 had a love child with some of the mechanics of 4 which was solid enough as it was.

The story is simple (much like 3 was) but mysterious enough to keep you guessing and possibly the strongest in the series. It provided some nice revelations and development of the lore too. By the time it ended I kind of wanted more but I was satisfied as a fan. Mission 19 and 20 are probably some of the best final boss missions in the entire series.

Where I think they should go next is perhaps a prequel with Sparda when he battled Mundus and his forces. Even with how OP Dante's new Sin form is, I still doubt if he's stronger than his old man was in his prime (his bio in DMC4 said he may have surpassed him but that's all speculation).

Beating the prologue and prematurely ending the game was pretty fun. Did it the other day and didn’t find it too hard actually. Nero has these two awesome Devil Trigger moves that let you unleash hell after the crystal goes down.

I have a very important question-

Is this better than Metal Gear Rising?

I’ve only played a little bit of that. That game was fun, but I think the DMC series is a bit better. I’m biased though, as I tend to prefer Capcom games.

Reuben believes there is a massive conspiracy to hide the existence if E.T. and tech advancement related to Aliens

EDIT: He literally just said "One of the things I like to say is where we go one we go all" Reuben fan of Q confirmed.

There's a severe lack of Vergil merch being previewed. I know Prime is doing it but that's the only one I'm aware of.

Honestly, Vergil looks pretty meh. I could live without anything of him from the game. Nero and Dante too though. I prefer their DMC4 character models.
