Also making Ethan completely helpless and the like in that section...doesn't feel RE. I like how RE made you feel helpless and underpowered even with your vast arsenal in scenarios such any Nemesis one.

It also bears repeating: Ethan is not very interesting. He's so forced in spots like the twist (that everyone should have seen coming) that he is part mold, that he died and is dying, that he is supposedly very witty, etc. I was fine with him being so out of his element and scared shitless, even back in the old games the protagonists still kept their cool.

I won't be able to finish the piece of shit until Friday, but much like RE7 it'll be deleted from the hard drive permanently after it's done.

The monsters are a joke and nothing about them is even threatening. The fish monsters in Revelations are better lol.

Chris fucking sucks btw. No Roger Craig Smith and he looks like the Bosnian sniper from Behind Enemy Lines that Niko Bellic was based on. Capcom's cringe Millennial devs need to be killed.

I bid and won on this old RE Archives book that's nearly 20 years old if you remember it.



I already own it along with the part 2. But my copy of the first one, not the second, is literally falling apart with the spine coming undone and the pages toward the back beginning to fall out. I found one I was able to get for $40 that allegedly is in great shape and hardly read if at all. The pics look solid and the cover doesn't even look warn. There's a price sticker on it but I can get that off. I'm going to keep this one on the shelf as a virgin copy I never look through and just use the one I swapped from shitty Amazon which isn't falling apart like my copy and send that one back because fuck Amazon.

They didn't bind these well as almost all copies of part 1 have the same problems. Part 2 is still pristine, probably since it's not nearly as thick since it's mostly RE4-5 where as the first one is 0-CV.

I was expecting to drop $80 on this since the book is so rare. I came across it at Gamestop nearly 15 years ago and there was only two copies and I immediately grabbed it.

Easiest way to solve a binding issue is it take fishing like or sturdy string and wrap the very middle of the book, as if to bookmark it, and then tie it off along the outer spine.

It's not bound in that way and it's only glue holding it together, barely.

Buy some book binding glue then. You can get it pretty close to perfect if you don’t damage the book too much beforehand.

I completed RE8 over the weekend. Eh. I don't know how to feel about it. I think the game was very mediocre but I kinda liked Heisenberg's factory and the frankenstein like drill monsters. Although beyond that, it feels like another new IP that isn't RE. At least Mia wasn't so fucking ugly this time around.

I played the DLC. I thought it was pretty decent and given it's own lore, it's allowed to get away with the supernatural shit since it's inside the mold consciousness bullshit.

I really don't like the idea that there's yet another mutagen that predates the Progenitor plants. Las Plagas is fine since they came from the Progenitor plants in West Africa since you find cave drawings of them in RE5.

I got the Archives book I won on eBay. It had the sticker on it so I got it off. But where was some residue left behind and I tried a tiny bit of alcohol and it started taking off the cover so I stopped. I'm bummed about that but there already was very slight peeling on the spine anyway. Otherwise it looks like it was never even read.

My wife wanted me to go back to RE7 after completing 8 this past week. I haven't played it in six years since it originally came out. It's better than I remember, but I still stand by while being playable decent that it's still a terrible RE game purely from the camera perspective and the same creature designs for all enemy types besides bosses. Mold as a mutagen is fine, but the rules around it's abilities and method of infection is way too vague and not even spoken of from what I recall. And how it makes werewolves I don't understand. Miranda touches a giant mold spore and becomes immortal? Okay...

As mentioned, I'd like them both more if they weren't apart of RE. i honestly think RE7 is better since it at least tries to be a horror game where as RE8 is mostly Narnia with guns.

Margarette is a great boss though and I thought that even when I first played it. The rest are meh.

I never finished End of Zoe, so I'll do that after Not a Hero which I've done once before.

I ordered the three medallions from 2make that come in a three pack over a week ago and it's still not left Europe and it's just been sitting with the post office.
