The King of Fighters XI - 6.5/10

Somehow feels shittier even with improvements and the final boss might be one of the most cheapest motherfuckers in the series.

Alan Wake Remastered - 7/10

Was this game always so janky? Trying to grab items especially mid fight was so...painful. Also getting wombo comboed, the frame drops and especially the crashes on PS4. Also I fucking hated the times you lost all your weapons during a chapter, what's the point of that?

Shame too, cool game. Very emblematic of its time both good and bad but I liked it. Probably will pick up the sequel. Also, second best Barry in gaming in this game.

Quantum Break is a bit better, gameplay wise. I think Control outshines them both though. The story is still far more interesting in Alan Wake. The scope in Control is just a bit much.

Perhaps I'll take a look at those games sometime, I never got a chance to. Alan Wake was sorely since I didn't have a 360 when it came out, and my PC was too weak for it I think. I kept forgetting until it got delisted, then the remaster came out and I was fine lol.

Bayonetta 3 - 7.5/10. Plays pretty well when you're just Bayonetta. Not so much the other witches, but also love the music. Has...so many issues with the story. Way too many to count. The back lash was hilarious though.

Never cared for Bayonetta once it went exclusive.

As for Alan Wake, Quantum Break and Control—they are all in the same universe. Alan Wake is a byproduct of something that occurs in Control.

Is it? Wow, interesting.

Bayonetta 1 was fun, but not something I'm chasing on a new console for.
I think the devs are aware of that. It...def isn't.

That said, the agenda pushing from fans with Bayonetta 3 was hilarious. You all just have to see it to believe it.

Yep. Control is the larger part of that universe. Alan Wake and Quantum Break are isolated incidents. Control is worth playing… if a little contrived.

No, what I’m saying is they are not part of the larger story in Control—which is basically the center of all of it. They are essentially just footnotes. Not that they aren’t the more important of footnotes, but they’re still footnotes. But they are both the direct result of events that occur in the timeline you unveil through tidbits of information during Control.

Again, Control is absolutely the continuation of "Wake".
QB is nothing more than a mention of "Mr Door" (Martin Hatch) by Dylan, it's not part of the story in any way.

The Bureau came before Alan Wake. Control may be a “sequel” in the normal sense, but the Wake incident is just an AWE. It’s literally just another event the agents had to deal with.

And Quantum Break is mentioned in files you read in the game. It is part of the canon. They haven’t brought it fully into the fold, like they did with Alan Wake, but I bet it will have a dlc of some kind in the sequel.

Speaking of which, Alan Wake is supposedly getting a sequel. Hopefully, it plays a bit better. I honestly don’t remember having issues with the game back in the day, but it wouldn’t surprise me.

Replayed "God of Boi".
Totally forgot what a boring stupid mess it is.
Found even more issues than I remembered.
Still don't understand how could this even remotely be considered GOTY.

I haven’t played the new one. There’s one section of the game that just looks too “Food Fight” from Hook to take seriously. Outside of that and the ridiculous racial pandering, it doesn’t seem too bad. I don’t even mind the kid’s odd acting at times.

I love the first one. The moment you go back for the blades of chaos is still one of the best moments in gaming. A lot of people hated that he ditched them, leading up to the game’s release. For all intents and purposes, the game is different than the older ones and it looked like he either lost them or tossed them into the void.

It's just one moment in a very boring game. It's wasn't a surprise because they throw Hel enemies that cannot be damaged by the Axe right from the very begining. It's wasn't a big enough moment in terms of scale to varrant so much hype. The whole talking-to-a-ghost-in-my-head thing is an incredibly tasteless trope that feels very out of place in a "grounded" dramatic reveal.

This game gets way too much praise and not enough critisism.

If you don't like the game, why have you gone and replayed it? I personally wouldn't replay stuff like TLOU II ever unless I gained something out of it

I honestly take a lot of issues with the reboot, but I think it worked -fine- in some ways. Namely that it could have been way more pandering, and ruined Kratos. It didn't and had some good moments. I still prefer the old games by a long shot because they stood out for the best reasons.

I’ll be honest… I like the old games, but they are definitely outshined by the new tech and the new play style. If they redid them and stayed as close to the source as possible, I might enjoy them more.

They play far too differently to be compared favorably imo. I do like both, but different reasons. Only thing is maybe story, and Kratos himself. I would love the first God of War in the norse visual style, or maybe just similar to III/Ascension.

Zelda: Skyward Sword HD - 7.5 sometimes, 8 sometimes. It starts off nicely, meanders in the middle, picks up again, loses me right before the climax but it's good. Not having to deal with the motion controls makes a huge difference.

The Last of Us Part I - 7/10. I'm rating it worse then the original because it did nothing to justify its existence. It's honestly probably the worst version to play just for downgrades like movement, enemy AI and nothing new. I'm only glad they didn't change the story to justify the sequel since I'd be so mad if they justified Abby or her stupidity in any way.

If it's someone's first time and that bought it budgeted, 8/10. For someone whose played PS3 and PS4 multiple times....I expected better. Can someone point out the improvements and differences
