Then again, most of the fan base still think that idiotic comic book lore can be applied to original films, and that the original Predator didn't kill Dutch right away "cuz iz honnurable nshit"...

I always thought that was hilarious because it's more of a way to mock Danny Glover than anything else, I think what's going on is that he isn't true alpha irl but he played a character that is, people subconsciously pick up on that and feel he didn't earn his victory and he's "just a cop" but the character he plays is every bit as super human as the average 80's and 90's action hero

Anything less than a borderline demigod cannot defeat a predator, a 19 year old girl is hopeless but of course that's not what we'll see

With this predator's apparent skill it's going to be extremely ridiculous to see this little girl defeat him

The story is wack, why does she want to hunt? "Because you'll think I can't" why is it that these strong and independent wahmen are so fragile and ego dependent that they decide what path to take in life based on other people's opinions? It doesn't seem very strong or independent to me

Speaking of which... They really should've just remade "Outlander" with Predator. It's basic yet perfectly tuned, old but would refresh the franchise, and most importantly you can have actualy fun with it. Alas, poor Winston.

Hell, I don’t think any Predator film will be as good as Predators again. It’s highly unlikely. The best films are the first two and Predators is a nice homage to the franchise. Everything else has been total shit and will continue to be total shit, because they simply won’t allow the franchise a proper death. Same with Resident Evil and Terminator.

P2 might be able to squeeze by in some respects, but Predator 1 was a marvel of a film at the time. Same with Alien. They both revolutionized cinema, in much the same way that Star Wars and Indiana Jones did.

I saw Prey, it's a 4/10

It is wildly overrated, but that's not why I'm giving it that score, there is a specific moment in the movie that ruins something established and that was unforgivable. Maybe it's more deserving of a 3 than a 4, without that it'd be a 6 maybe 7 if I was feeling generous

1718 is no longer Canon, they ruined the origin of Golden Angel just to set up a sequel
