Devil May Cry is definitely getting altered by the Social Justice movement. Most changes have been gradual and subtle, but it’s going to be in your face next time.

A good example is when they changed Nick Fury back in 2000 or 2001. He just didn’t resonate with people enough at the time and they wanted to add a bit of life to the character. So, they levied a deal with Sam Jackson and he ended up taking over as the character in future movies. Keep in mind, this was during their near bankrupt era, before the films hit big with Spider-man 1 and X-Men 2.

There have been very few other examples where this drastic character change was welcomed. Very few. I think Domino’s change was alright. I’m certainly not against it. She played the character well and it kind of fits.

However, changing characters just because you can is a fat fucking no. Sorry, but you need to be making new characters. As much hate as Miles Morales got, at least he didn’t replace Peter Parker.

Now it seems like the whole of the comic, movie and game industry just wants to race change characters or fuck with their sexuality. They can’t just focus on the characters and what made them unique in the first place. It’s always some totem pole banner for social justice. It’s vomit inducing cringe.

Yeah, change at first NEVER goes well period and outside of the Fury situation, I've never seen the racial ones go well.

Oh man Miles Morales. I adore the character now but they did not bring him in well at all. It took a while for me to get used to him, until the 2017 animated series and the 2018 game. There's also Superior Spider-Man and outside of that 2017 series, I can tell you: I will NEVER like it. And many others didn't either.

I think Kamala Khan as Ms. Marvel was a good change though, I personally love her and a lot of my friends do. Granted it's a little hard to tell if she counts.

I have to agree on uniqueness because...oof, just oof. I will give credit to the MCU actors who actually opposed some of this bleeding into the MCU like Anthony Mackie saying he didn't want a gay Falcon and Winter Soldier, because he just wanted the dynamic we saw in the series and the focus on race wasn't even bad. Got so much shit for it.

Oh god. I was hoping it would stay with the DmC reboot but I'm concerned with 5 partly.

Yeah, well… Twitter, Reddit and ResetEra are all fascist platforms for losers anyway. Really don’t understand how a hacker group hasn’t taken over each one of them and deleted the entire platform and blocked the domains.

Society will never truly understand the harm that has come from social media. Never. Ironic… the very thing that was meant to bring people together has become one of the most egregious things helping to tear society apart.

Yeah we need a third son of Sparda and he needs to be half black.

I liked some of the designs in DMCV but in general that game was dull fan service bait.

They'll do a second grandson of Sparda at this rate...coming from someone who likes Nero but sees some issues.

In all fairness to DMC V and Capcom, I think they had to do some sort of fan service route after what the series has been through since 4. That said, since the game plays as well as 3, I can let it slide. I do think some stuff about Vergil....is weird.

Dam could of did a lot better with that headsculpt. I never liked how soft the hairsculpt is.

Oh my god I would love to see the original Hot Toys Leon head on that body now LOL. I can see what you mean on what to fix and change though. Would it not be better to wait for the classic Leon release however?

That’s the plan! Once the Classic Leon releases, what you see in the second picture is what mine will end up looking like! I bought the belt, elbow pads, and some spare Hot Toys S.T.A.R.S Chris hands to slice the glove’s wrist cuff off for that extended cuff look for the RPD outfit from RE4 (shown in one of my earlier posts)

I guess no one is going to part out anymore of the Super Duck Jill head. I picked up the two shirts and the pants, because I think they’re made a little bit better than the MTToys version. I’m tempted to get the hand set, but not sure the skintone will match the MTToys Jill headsculpt though.
