I self destructed at the chopper to kill them all. I leapt halfway across the map after healing and getting the notification that the chopper was called. Threw my smart disc and leapt in to grab it, quick claimed the guy and then got downed as I was trying to vanish, but I didn’t have my stamina boost perk on at the time. It took them forever to get my mask off and down me and right as they started the puzzle they all got blown to shit.
That’s why I always just run. Even if there’s a chopper coming. It has to already be about to land for me to even risk it. I’d rather just run from the blast than try that fucking puzzle. It can cause a quicker wipe if you screw up too many times anyway, correct?
With the build I have now, I’m pretty annoying. I’ve got motion sensors (so that I’m not constantly going in and out of thermal vision—I swapped the wrist launcher for this and holy shit, thank god) and audio decoy (because it really fucks with some people’s head). If you leap through a camp at the beginning and trigger the alarms, you already start off with an advantage. Do it at the next camp and they’re going to have a hard time the entire match. These two gear items give you even more of an edge.
Initially, I was using Impenetrable, large pouch and light bender for my perks. That wasn’t really working for me though. Pouch seems to be kind of a waste, unless you’re really reliant on that extra healing kit and extra gear uses. It’s whatever for me. I feel like I start off with enough. Light bender just fucking blows. It should only be used if you need to squeeze in one extra perk worth one single point.
Now, I’m using Impenetrable, Modified Reserve (if you’re only using invisibility cloak it won’t even drain the meter—which might mean light bender would actually make you slightly gain energy while fully cloaked) and Adrenal Boost. For weapons, I’m using the katana and smart disc. Anyone not using the smart disc right now is missing out. With the Down Range perk, it one shots anyone except maybe a support class.
Oh, I should probably mention that I use Tracker instead of Fervent. The perk becomes useless after the first down and the goal is to NOT let the entire team get reinforced. I think this perk needs to be looked at. Tracker is way better.
